Not allowed to the property, not communicated about it by Vrbo service or host.
Contacted property owner weeks before arrival via the app : no answer. Contacted the day before arrival : nothing. On the day of arrival tried to reach by phone : number is not valid.
Customer service in the app notified me 5 times that my case is urgent, but no real action took place.
I decided to test my luck and arrived to the property and the host named Silvana told me that place is already occupied and I can't stay there. Showing booming confirmation from Vrbo didn't help.
So, I had to search for another place to stay, which is why the whole day of holiday was ruined.
Contacting customer service directly with international phone call helped me to receive refund at least. Still waiting to receive compensation for the emergency overnight stay in the hotel I had to seek. It's 4 nights already since the "palermo adventure" and was only asked about the feedback ever since, despite my numerous emails to customer support. So, here is my feedback about my stay at the property "Vacation home near the sea" in Palermo. By the way, sea near Palermo isn't as beautiful as in nearby smaller villages for swimming.
