Filthy! Aside from the horrid smell when you entered the room, almost every area in the room was visibly soiled with who knows what. I have never seen such a disgusting hotel. We have stayed in many Wyndham locations and have never had a problem, but this was appalling.
I called Wyndham directly bc the front desk woman was unbelievably rude to the point I didn’t feel safe even bringing concerns to her. Wyndham said since I booked through Expedia I had to contact them. Called Expedia who called the front desk and both refused to refund any portion. The next shift front desk person gave us the option to trade rooms and refused refund as per “policy”. Second room was mildly cleaner but still filthy. The door did not lock and the door had been obviously broken in and poorly repaired. Back down to front desk a third time. He came to try the lock and couldn’t get it to lock either. Put us in a third room which was also filthy and appeared to have blood (or another dark red, dried substance on the sink countertop.
I truly cannot express my level of upset with the whole situation. I showed the front desk gentleman the photo of the bed and he could not believe the state of it.
One room was marked as shut down by Allen County just down the hall too. I was frustrated and in tears working through it all for over two hours. My husband booked a different hotel down the road bc he didn’t feel safe with us there.
Shame on Wyndham AND Expedia for not helping to refund this.
