Happy house - is fantastic
We stayed for our second trip to happy valley at the happy house. It is such a great location and Leah and Rod [who own the property] were fantastic. They truly went out of their way to help us out with a car problem we had and were incredibly generous with their time. Despite having a broken down car we still had an absolute blast staying in the happy house and will definitely be back again. Highly recommend it and out of more than 13 trips to Fraser this one was the best we have had. Thanks Rod and Leah

Great location
Great location, safe for kids. Clean and comfortable house with plenty of space to fit a few families. It has everything you need, even a wood fired pizza oven! The hosts are very helpful.

Fraser accommodation at its best
We had a fantastic time on Fraser staying in the Happy House. Our group was 6 adults and 6 children, and there was plenty of room for everyone in the house. The balcony was huge and it was perfect for relaxing after a big day out, and with plenty of room to share all our meals together. Everything was clean and tidy, just as depicted in the pictures. The hosts, Rod and Leah, were super helpful and great to have onsite. They gave us lots of tips and tricks that made our stay all the better. The Happy House is in a brilliant location for day tripping, and having the shop/pub nearby took care of the kids daily ice cream quota! I cannot recommend this house highly enough - it was just brilliant!

Happy House Holiday
We absolutely loved our stay at the Happy House, beginning with a friendly warm welcome from Leah and Rod. The house is very well equipped, having everything we needed. All our guest's enjoyed their relaxing stay. The location is perfect for seeing all the treasures that Fraser has to offer and once back at house each day the wonderful front deck was bliss. We look forward to returning to the Happy House.

Fabulous location and hospitality
All 13 of us had a magnificent time. The house had everything we needed plus more. Plenty of space to gather and relax before or after a day of adventure. Nice and close to the beach so we caught alot of the Seabreeze which was perfect in summer. Leah and Rod the caretakers were exceptionally friendly and helpful and definitely enhanced our enjoyment on the island with all of their tips and advice. The happy house really lives up to its name.

Happy House is Fantastic!
The happy house is amazing. The fire pit and pizza oven were a hit with the both the kids and adults. The huge deck was perfect for having a coffee in the morning and a quiet drink in the evening with plenty of comfy seating for everyone. The house is perfectly located with quick access to the beach, well set up to handle our larger group (multi-generation family) and the kitchen was large enough and well equipped too. There are also solar panels and batteries so we didn’t have to watch the electricity we used, even on rainy days, which was icing on the cake. But honestly for us the real stand out feature of our trip were the on-site caretakers Rod and Leah. They kept to themselves in a seperate building but were always there if we needed them for anything. Nothing was too much trouble for them. From giving us tips and directions to little known destinations outside of the main attractions (this wasn’t our first stay on the island), setting up a gazebo for us in the yard after noticing we had started making pizzas with incoming rain forecast that we were unaware of, to selflessly sharing some amazing food they had cooked with our whole group (after we expressed an interest). And they were so patient and accommodating of the kids who would ambush them with questions and stories if they ever caught a glimpse of them in the yard. It honestly wouldn’t have been the same trip without them both. We highly recommend staying at the happy house and would love to come and stay again!

Caters so well for families
Leah and Rod were very welcoming and also let us have our space for the week. Having a child under two, I was extremely impressed at how well they have catered for children. I loved that the front gate could shut giving us peace of mind to keep our littlest in. The cupboards were well stocked for everything needed in a home designed for families. We loved the wood fired pizza oven and the fire pit as this is where we congregated every afternoon. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts. A great home away from home!

Fantastic Family Getaway!
The Happy House is the perfect place to stay with the extended family. It’s clean and tidy but not fancy which is perfect for the kids! The house is really well equipped. Everything Leah and Rod have listed on the website is in the house. They’re also really knowledgeable about the local area and even though we’ve been to Fraser many times, they still had some extra special places for us to check out. The wood fired pizza oven was lots of fun and the little fire pit out the front was great to sit around and have a chat after the sun went down. The kitchen was really well stocked with plenty of plates, bowls etc and heaps of pots and pans for cooking and the massive bbq on the deck was great for feeding the 14 of us. The location of the house is also really convenient as you’re close to the beach but also the inland tracks, so it’s easy to get to all the major tourist attractions. There’s also a pub and shop 150m up the road. We had a fantastic time and we highly recommend the Happy House to any family who wants to spend some quality time together and one of the most beautiful places in the world! Thanks Rod and Leah!

This was our second stay at the Happy House and again had everything we needed, beds, hot showers & great location. It’s by no means a 5 star resort, but was perfect for our large family group of 7 adults and 6 children. The house is family friendly with a fenced yard and huge entertainment deck with a TV. The rooms are primarily made of bunk beds, but again, worked well for us. There is onsite caretakers in a seperate building, they are lovely and very accommodating. We will definitely be back. Thanks for having us!

This spot was great for the get away that we needed. The kids had plenty of grass to run around in and the deck really made the whole experience great. The onsite owners were very helpful and even checked in from time to time, gave helpful hints about the island, the house and things to visit and do to make sure that our group enjoyed themselves.

Happy times at the Happy House
The Happy House was awesome. The on-site hosts, Rod and Leah, were awesome. Our group consisted of three families (6 adults and 7 kids), and nothing was a bother. The house is a not five star luxury, more a beach shack but 100% practical and functional for what we needed. Made great use of the bbq on the deck and the pizza oven. Can’t comment on the oven inside because we didn’t use it. We were worried about fridge space but with the overflow freezer it wasn’t a problem. We took eskies for drinks but there is also a large esky there already. Rod and Leah were very accommodating, offering knowledge and wisdom for our daily adventures and did what they could to ensure we had a great stay, without being obstrusive. Booking was easy, if you have any questions ask before you go and Leah will respond. We will be back!
