Single story cottage located directly on Jimmerson Lake with pier and small sandy beach area. Originally built in the 1950's by owner's grandparents, the home has been charmingly re-decorated and has a large deck with excellent sunset views. Jimmerson Lake is a 203 acre lake that is popular for fishing and is also open to skiers. The cottage is located on a large cove of the lake with less ski boat traffic making it easier to float or swim. Take your boat and access all the lakes on the Lake James chain including Jimmerson Lake, Lake James (1,039 acres), Snow Lake (421 acres), Big Otter Lake and Little Otter Lake.
The cottage is the perfect relaxing retreat for a family or avid fishermen who plan to spend most of their time outdoors and on the lake. Peace and quiet during the Fall and Spring is a fantastic time to visit and get away from the hustle and bustle! Take time to unwind! The cottage has a small but functional kitchen with stove, sink and refrigerator with a large round table that seats 8. Standard kitchen items included. Three bedrooms (2 with closet space) are charming with plenty of windows to let the breeze blow through. Two of the bedrooms offer lake views. Additional sleeping is available with a sofa sleeper bed. The single bathroom offers a remodeled feel with a shower only - no tub.
Spend your days on the lake: boating, swimming, and fishing then spend your evenings playing yard games in the adjacent shaded lot or relaxing with the sunset views from the deck. Plenty of private lakefront footage includes a seawall with sandy walk in access area. Water stays around knee high for 15 feet from seawall perfect for children and allows easy access for kayaks/canoe. Adjacent lot offers ample parking space as well as room to set up badminton, croquet, corn hole or toss a ball. In addition bring some firewood for the fire pit located on adjacent lots.
This excellent location on the lake is located within a 1/2 mile of a well maintained free conservation public boat access. In addition, the cottage is near Pokagon State Park, and Trine conservation area for hiking and biking, Tom's Donuts and several excellent local restaurants. If you prefer to fish, you can access through channels Big Otter Lake and Little Otter Lake which are non-ski lakes. Fishermen may find largemouth bass, brook trout, brown trout, bluegill, and flathead catfish as well as Northern Pike, Walleye, and Crappie throughout the chain of lakes.
Home Owners are sharing their 2 kayaks, canoe and rowboat. The cottage also comes with beach style chairs, lawn chairs and plenty of seating on the deck.
The cottage does have wifi. There is room on the pier so if guests choose, boats may be rented from The Corner Landing or guests may bring their own boat. Free lake boat access less than a mile away.
