Gut: Sauberkeit, Personal & Service, Ausstattung und Zustand der Unterkunft
Hotel Forza Chikushi-Guchi1 has been our got to place in Fukuoka because of its proximity to Hakata Station. Rooms are slightly bigger than the average Japan hotel. Coffee is free flowing and the buffet breakfast is good.
This year however we noticed that the rooms are dusty and not thoroughly cleaned. Pillows were very limited per room and we had to ask for more pillow which they ran out off.
Biggest shock was that we couldn’t leave our bags when we checked out and the front desk people were directing us to use the paid lockers at Hakata Station. One guest even hurled bad words at the front desk lady who couldn’t explain why they couldn’t keep the bags. I was able to convince our front desk person to reluctantly stow our luggage but she also was clear why they were not allowing luggae to be stored. Front desk said we can come back by 1pm but we insisted on 4pm given our flight was still in the evening. We hit shocked when we came back and saw a sign saying the hotel was closed and none of the doors were open. We were worried that we would couldn’t get our stuff bud circled back door where we found a doorbell. Thankfully someone answered and gave us back our luggage. The guy said the hotel was closing down for maintenance.
Forza should have put out that notification or at least helped guests with their luggage storage using one of their location.
A bit of a deviation from our usual experience at Forza Hakataeki Chikushi-Guchi1 but all’s well that end well!
