THIS IS A NIGHTMARE

We were canceled just a few hours before check-in—during the week of the 4th of July holiday, no less. Imagine the stress of suddenly having no place to stay for a group of 10. This trip was meant to be a special getaway for my employees and friends, and instead, we were left scrambling.The cancellation was due to a broken A/C, but when I asked if they had known about the issue earlier, no clear answer was given. The first agent I spoke to was extremely unprofessional—she became defensive and even yelled at me, repeating “I know, I know, but I can’t find anything!”We had booked well in advance, and in the end, we had to spend hours finding new accommodations on our own. This entire experience was incredibly disappointing and frustrating, especially given the occasion. They give a partial refund but it worth nothing compare to our time

Beach getaway

Beautiful house with lots of room and seating for everyone. Great location in a gated community. We took our golf cart and there was a bridge just for golf carts for easy access to the beach! The home looked a little older than the pictures but we enjoyed our stay very much.

Dog Hair, hair and Fingernails

Let me start off by saying management and Vacasa are amazing! However we walked in this house and instantly knew it would be bad. A stale musty smell hit us so hard. We brought our things in playing it off that the house may have just been closed up and air turned off. Our son put his pillow on the couch and a puff of DOG hair went flying. There was dog hair all over the couches that were severely stained and honestly scary to think about sitting on. Things happen so i was like I can clean that. Well we go in our room and there are dead roaches on the floor, with human and dog hair everywhere. Including the bed. Hair was literally rolling across the floor. I called management at this time. She was so kind and was going to send someone to clean. At this point my 3 year old got dog hair/human hair in his mouth. I call her back telling her all the beds are full of hair. She started working on getting us moved at this point. We packed up and moved to a smaller but way nicer and cleaner house. If she wasn’t so amazing I would say this was the worsr VRBO experience ever. However her prompt solution saved it all. This house needs a lot of work and pictures don’t match the condition of the house. I could look past all those things. However hair bugs and fingernails everywhere aren’t something I can get over. The house ultimately smells and feels gross.

significant water damage and mold in this house

This house has potential, on the beach and great location but it has had signifiant water damage and mold on the wall inside the home. Floors in kitchen and front room were dirty, their was an old pot of coffee & grounds left behind and pantry was full of crumbs. The property manage did a great job of responding quickly to our needs to getting us moved.

Main bathtub will not hold water. Had trouble getting hot water in bathrooms/ showers. Had to go get cleaning supplies and clean deck and windows. House was clean. Need some caulking around crown molding in the master bedroom. Could use a good pressure washing. Refrigerator had a smell .

60th Birthday Celebration

Property manager is very nice and very helpful. Kitchen appliances were filthy. Fire place is wood burning with firewood not provided was advertised as gas. Hot water did not work in master or upstairs bath. The house is very spacious, perfect location to beach. I would rent again hoping the above issues would be solved.

Girls Trip

Absolutely beautiful! It rained most of the time so we were in the house. Very comfortable, clean, lots of room. Plenty of kitchen pots, pans, cookie sheets, utensils. We caught up on our laundry beings it was raining. Short walk to the beach. Beautiful view of the Gulf. I’d recommend this to anyone family or group that wants to spacious house next to the Ocean.

Great stay overall and will be renting again!!! Only hiccup I found was I would have liked for the request for early check-in/late check-out to be answered instead of a generic text response which didn’t answer my questions. But great place to stay!!!!

ALIVE & DEAD ROACHES/FILTHY HOUSE!,RUDE MANAGER!!

I’ve already done this review with Vacasa! I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED in Vrbo AND Vacasa! I emailed both companies BEFORE Booking to address the issues brought up by past guests about the cleanliness of the place and I was ASSURED that the issues had been resolved! They WERE NOT!! There were roaches, ALL the sitting furniture was STAINED/SOILED/DIRTY, there was dripping condensation on top of children’s heads due to a Vent placed right over the upstairs Toilet, the Liner on the shower curtain was FILTHY AND FULL OF MILDEW, the house needs a new paint coating-especially around doors that look MOLDY and baseboards around the house , walls were soiled with what looks like FECES, dead roaches found in laundry room, livingroom and pantry,the kitchen DRAWERS/CABINETS/UTENSILS WERE FILTHY and HALF washed, there were wet paper towels in the kitchen sink that appeared to have been used to wipe the counter top(GROSS),carpet was STAINED AND FILTHY!! I called the Property Manager to address the issues, ones that I had already previously sent emails about after reading all the NEGATIVE REVIEWS about the house NOT being clean and SHE got upset,started YELLING at me when I questioned why the past guest issues were NOT resolved and she HUNG UP IN MY FACE!!!! The place was NOT clean!! We were only given TWO towels per bathroom even tho there were 9 people We went to the Dollar General to buy more towels and essentials!! There was a big hole over the bed in the Master Bedrm. Carpet FILTHY

We loved this house. It is big and spacious and beautiful! The view is amazing and a short walk to a pretty quiet beach. Big porch to sit and relax after a Long Beach day. The house had everything we needed. Will definitely have to stay here again!

Hot bedrooms, 1million $ property, $150k house.

The rooms are hot! Our friend had to sleep in his truck because it was so hot in the rooms. We have rented tons of homes and this was the worst so far! The owner claimed that her "million dollar house" needed maintenance after we checked in. It is not a million dollar house. It is a $150k house with a million dollar property.

Location is the only plus

I loved the location of this rental but I’m sad to say that was about it. On arrival the only access door was stuck. After prolonged communication with the property manager, during which I had to prove I couldn’t get in with video, they finally sent someone to help me. He had a struggle to get in as well and immediately began “fixing” the issue. It never was truly fixed, he just ended up showing me the “trick” to make it work. This should have been my sign. From there, the shower was full of mold. The floor was filthy. There was barely any hot water and the bed was basically a rock. All of these could easily be fixed with some attention. I truly wanted to love this home- the location is perfection!! But sadly, it wasn’t even close to being worth the money!!

JUST a spacious house with an amazing view.

The space of this house is great and the view is amazing but that is all. The house is in need of TLC and was not clean. In regards to the condition of the house, the keyless entry pad was still not working, a light fixture was missing above the downstairs bathroom sink leaving a lightbulb exposed and the house could use multiple interior paint touchups. For the amount of money we paid, these should not be an issue. In regards to the cleanliness, where do I start? Trash in the kitchen trashcan, an empty paper towel roll on the holder, no ice in the ice maker, old coffee grounds in the coffee maker & pet hair on the floors, living room couches and deck furniture. I seriously felt like I was vacationing with the dirty presence of the previous tenants. Days prior to checkin, I addressed the cleanliness of the house with Gina the property manager and she stated "This is a million dollar home in a gated community on the beach. It is also a rental. There are no major issues with this house." This unfortunately was not true!

lovely house hazardous walkover

The house was lovely, and we did enjoy our stay even though we had some problems.. The main problem with the house was the condensation dripping from the vent in the ceiling above the bed.. There was a comforter in the dryer when we arrived that had sand in the folds of the material. I placed it on a shelf in the laundry room and left it there. The wooden stools were sticky when we arrived and would not come clean when wiped down. The location on the other hand was a different story. The walk to the beach is quite long for young children and older adults. Therefore, we rented a golf cart that we had to pay $600 to repair after the bolt on the front wheel broke while trying to drive through the sand to get to the beach and back to the house. Someone else had a cart that became stuck in the sand and broke in the same way. The walkway had obviously been hit with something that left broken boards on the side. The morning we left we saw two men taking boards to repair the walkway and level out the soft sand. Unfortunately, too late to have helped us.

I’d give zero stars if I could

I am not one to write bad reviews, honestly this may be my very first. If previous reviews are read on this property, I’d say the negative reviews are putting this property nicely. We rented this property with low expectations based on the reviews but were hopeful that based on management responses that the issues would be rectified. If I could submit pictures of the condition this house was in to help people better understand, I would (I did email several to Vacasa). The house goes far beyond being dirty. The house didn’t appear to be cleaned (which would contradict management responses of switching cleaning companies). I understand this is a peak time of year to visit this property but I don’t understand why you get charged a cleaning fee when it didn’t appear to be cleaned? We saw: Blood spots on the floor What appeared to be feces on upstairs toilet seat Ceiling leaking on three spots Mold/mildew all over vents Walls dinged up and almost all walls had substances on them Carpet was very stained in many spots Master shower hardware was falling apart Two bedroom doors couldn’t be closed without a struggle because the door frames are detaching from the wall furniture stained Floors dirty I would never stay in this property again. I had tried reaching out to the property manager three weeks before our reservation, I made three attempts and did not get a response. I was on the phone with Vacasa the minute we walked into this property. Vacasa was helpful but the actual property manager has not been. This house COULD be spectacular as it is described in the description but it lacks basic upkeep and basic cleaning therefore many things are falling apart, unfortunately. I hope this reviews helps someone. I was weary booking this property based on previous reviews but this house even fell below what I was expecting. The property manager clearly has not held up to the responses they’ve given for the poor reviews of making any changes. I feel misled by this property description entirely and I’m very disappointed.

Great Beach House but needs work

One of the A/C units did not work, so the Master bedroom and bath was hot, even with the fans on. The key provided only opened the front door. We could not get the stairs from the ground to the house open, so we had to go all the way around. This made loading and unloading the cars difficult. Upstairs bedroom closet was locked and my quests had to lay their hanging clothes on the floor, not good. The ice maker was broken.

Not the Best Stay

ONE A/C UNIT DID NOT WORK. We were very lucky to have cool days to barely get by or we would have had to leave. Finding A WADDED PAIR OF SOCKS IN THE BEDSHEETS is a real bummer. Were lucky to find an Allen wrench to repair the DOORKNOB THAT FELL OFF. Property manager promised a credit to compensate for A/C issues but STILL WAITING TO HERE ANY FOLLOWUP ON THAT PROMISE. Otherwise house is very nice.

Quick get away

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your beautiful home. It was well appointed with everything we needed to make our meals. The proximity to the beach was perfect. We took miles of walks on the quiet beach. We were able to sit on the balcony to enjoy sunrises and sunsets while listening to the surf. We also enjoyed the fact that we could ride our bikes safely in the gated community. There is plenty of room to spread out. This would be a great place for family gatherings. We highly recommend this rental.

Tranquil retreat

We very much enjoyed our stay at this house. The view of the Gulf is unobstructed. The boardwalk to the beach is just one house down. With COVID on going, we brought all our own food and the kitchen and grill provided everything we needed to prepare our meals. The house had a great outdoor space. There is room between the houses here unlike some beach house locations where it is one house on top of another. We really liked that aspect. We would recommend this property.
