"Hotel was very clean and quiet. The "downtown" area is walking distance from the hotel but unfortunately there wasn't much there and what was there wasn't open. We were there in June, maybe shops are mostly open during the school year, not sure. Very happy with the hotel though."

"Our room was not available on arrival. I was initially stressed, but the front desk was very polite and helpful. He gave us a better upgrade for our troubles. The pool was closed for maintenance which seems to happen a lot at Marshfield hotels, so it wasnt surprising. All staff was fantastic to us. The property is a little dated in some areas but clean and overall efficient on our visit. The rooms have very large TV's which look fantastic. "It's a older, renovated, no frills hotel like Motel 6 etc. It does a have a pool which I didn't bother to check out. It is kept clean and not a bad place to stay. My only gripe would be the bed/mattress was "flat". About what you would expect anyway in many hotels. Small breakfast area with hot waffle iron, cereal, bagel and toast."

"Property is in a good location, but noisy with trains near by. Also, the house is more of a duplex feel, the owners live on the bottom and the top is rented out. The owner was there to greet us, but difficult to get a hold of prior. The house was clean, but def worn down. The house also smelt like smoke in the living room, which was unfortunate. Overall, okay (safe) property if you need a place to crash. "

"The photos looked pretty decent. Unfortunately, the quaintness ended when we opened the door. "Modern rooms" must just mean a keypad entry and a new TV. The tub was peeling away in chunks, carpet was dirty and torn, greasy handprints on the cabinets, barking dogs and a "Beware of Dog" sign on the next unit over. The only positive was that they refunded our money because we wouldn't spend the night. Lots of potential if they actually renovate the rooms, but as it is right now buyer beware."

"Beautiful property with a comfortable home atmosphere on a wooded lot. The Hosts were very accommodating and genuinely concerned that we had what we needed for an enjoyable stay. This was a truly wonderful experience, and we all (6 adults, 2 children) want to book this again!!"

"The house was very clean and had everything we needed for our week stay. The yard was very spacious and lots of outdoor toys/things to do. We brought some kayaks but there were kayaks and paddle boards available so there was plenty of watercraft for everyone and even a float pad for the kids to play on."
