Welcome to downtown Flagstaff. Its a residential area with both single family and multi family units. The train is nearby and you can walk into town very easily. NAU is just a a few blocks.

Our historic home has many great modern features but heating and cooling are not one of them. We do have a great radiant heating system in the winter along with extra portable units. In the hotter summer months, we can supply window or portable air conditioning systems plus fans to keep you comfortable.

Great Location
This apartment has everything you need for a great stay in Flagstaff. It is clean and modern, even though the house is historic and over 100 years old. The kitchen well appointed. And it is within walking distance to downtown restaurants and breweries. Also close to Lowell Observatory. A nice get away.

The unit was not clean; there was a black layer of dust on the living room table and dust bunnies under the furniture. Pictures can be deceiving. The bedroom was the size of a closet and there was no storage. The ONLY reason we booked this unit was because it stated there was an A/C in the bedroom. There was not. And the window couldn’t open. There was a box fan that was so loud it was difficult to sleep. There was a standing A/C in the living room, but the air didn’t reach the bedroom and it was also incredibly loud. The kitchen was marginally functional but there were only three forks (of different sizes) and one wine glass. And, no place to put our things. The shower stall was the size of a phone booth, very flimsy, and had no shower door handles or grab bars. The unit “book” was useless. No TV instructions, no restaurant menus, and no map. We left two days early; that says it all.

Historic meets modern.
We stayed for 2 nights and it was perfect. The location and amenities were all we needed for exploring Flagstaff on foot. We will return next month before continuing on to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. The reason for the 4 Rating on cleanliness was not a problem. A little dusty is to be expected, I suppose. Again the historic ambiance did not disappoint.

Charming stay in Flagstaff
It was a great base for 2 day trips to the Grand Canyon South Rim. The owner has furnished the kitchen so that we were actually able to prepare meals with no problem. The unit was clean on a surface level but there was a thick level of dust under the couch, the sleeper sofa hadn't been cleaned out, cobwebs were obvious above refrigerator and some light fixtures, and the small table in living room had a noticeable layer of dust. Clean and comfortable
It was a short 1 night stay for 3 adults. It was clean. There was very little noise from the other renters. We made use of the roll away bed which was good. The temps outside were nice so we didn’t try to use the portable A/C unit but it was there if we needed it. I didn’t see a space heater in case it got too chilly but never looked for one either. The bed in the bedroom was super comfortable

Misleading property description
The property was accurately described and both the property and location were great. The problem was that the property was listed as having AC when in fact it didn't. At the time I booked the property which was within a week of arrival Arizona was in the middle of a heat wave and AC was a non negotiable requirement and those were the only properties I looked for. I rented the entire property, which was an apartment as part of a house, not the entire house. The listing indicated that the apartment had air conditioning. Upon arrival the only air conditioning was a portable unit which sat in the bedroom and had a hose across the floor and sticking out the window which was blocked with a piece of scrap wood. This was not simply a window unit but a portable unit that sits on the floor. The unit did blow cold air but it was extremely noisy and a space hog in the small bedroom. Furthermore, it was the only AC in the entire house, nothing in the bathroom, kitchen or living area. It was a horrible sleep experience and the remainder of the house was sweltering. I spoke with the property manager who insisted the house was air conditioned and said the listing indicated that the apartment had a portable AC unit but of course it didn't. offered to bring in regular fans for the rest of the house. He also said to keep the windows, blinds and curtains closed all day to keep the heat down. He emphasized that the house was a 100 years old and the area was experiencing a heat wave. I knew all of this which is why I required AIR CONDITIONING and the age of the unit is irrelevant. The Manager went from being cooperative and offered that I could leave if it wasn't working for me since I booked for 4 nights. I spend time looking and moved to the Mariott and quite a hefty expense since it was just after 4th of July and there wasn't much availability. Then the fun began with my refund and once again the Manager going from what can I do? and that I was welcome to leave to vacillating on my refund. He blamed the "non reachable "owner" for the vagueness. He then contacted VRBO and gave me a 50% refund after staying one of four nights and blaming it on not having authorization to do more until the "owner" was available the following week. Ultimately he claimed I was too picky and that he was being generous in giving me a 50% refund and of course the "owner" never materialized. VRBO was of no help and said they aren't responsible for these type of disputes
