„All aspects of this property met our expectations except for the bedroom situation. The property is listed as 5 bedrooms, but only one bedroom (new addition) has full walls. The other 4 bedrooms have open rafter ceiling which makes each room connected as far as noise is concerned. If you are traveling with other couples, this may not be advantageous. „The cabin layout and size worked out great for our family of 6 (4 kids, ages 7 and under) to have a weekend getaway to take in the winter beauty of Lake Michigan and the surrounding area. „This was a great place to stay. I can imagine that in the summer, folks who want to get on the river or sit around the fire pit would be so happy. We stayed when it snowed hard so we didn't do any outdoor activities. The owner was amazing. She attentive and responsive. The only issue we had was with the dogs in the neighborhood. There is a sign when one pulls onto the road that there are a bunch of dogs who live there, which isn't a problem if one isn't allergic to dogs. What we didn't expect ...

"We booked a room with city view. This however means that you cannot sleep as the live music of restaurants/bars are extremely loud. After calling the front desk 4 times we were finally offered a different room. Kitchen is not fully equipped - e.g. we only had one spoon. We booked the hotel mainly for the location and bc it has a pool. The pool however was open only 1 day during our 7 day stay - first the pool got new water, then it had problems with some chemicals. In our room there were dog hairs all over the place. We would not book this hotel again. "
