Willkommen bei "The Ridge" im wunderschönen Grand Marais, Michigan!

Genießen Sie die Aussicht auf den Lake Superior und die wunderschöne Innenstadt von Grand Marais von praktisch jedem Zimmer dieses erstaunlichen, maßgefertigten Hauses mit 5 Betten / 3 Bädern! Das Haus befindet sich in bester Lage, nur etwa 1,6 km von der Stadt, den Restaurants und dem Strand entfernt und dennoch weit genug entfernt, um dem Alltag entfliehen zu können. Auch in der Nähe der Wanderwege können Sie mit Ihrem Schneemobil oder ATV direkt aus dem Haus springen.

Die erste Ebene mit ihren offenen Wohn-, Ess- und Küchenbereichen bietet die beste Aussicht der Stadt. Die Küche ist mit maßgefertigten Schränken aus knorriger Erle, Granit-Arbeitsplatten und allem Nötigen für jeden Küchenchef voll ausgestattet. Es gibt auch einen massiven Esstisch im Industriestil und eine Frühstücksbar mit Blick auf den Lake Superior. Hier finden Sie viele Sitzgelegenheiten, um all diese hausgemachten Mahlzeiten zu genießen. Die erste Ebene umfasst auch den Schlafraum mit einem Loungebereich und einem großen Flachbild-TV sowie einem Vollbad.

Die zweite Ebene verfügt über einen zentralen TV-Wohnbereich, zwei Hauptschlafzimmer mit Kingsize-Bett, zwei Vollbäder, ein weiteres Schlafzimmer mit Kingsize-Bett und einem Doppelschlafzimmer mit Schlafsofa. Es gibt einen großen überdachten Balkon mit Panoramablick auf Grand Marais, die Bruchmauer, den Leuchtturm und den Oberen See, der perfekte Ort, um sich zurückzulehnen und eine gute Tasse Kaffee zu genießen!

Und wenn Sie gerne Motorschlitten oder Seitengleis fahren, werden Sie diese speziell angehängte Spielzeuggarage lieben, die alles bietet. Diese kundenspezifische Garage wurde mit Blick auf den Komfort entworfen und verfügt über Garagentore an beiden Enden für eine bequeme Durchzugsmöglichkeit. Es bietet auch jede Menge Stauraum, so dass Sie all Ihre Helme und Ausrüstung aufhängen können und das Beste daran ist, dass es Fußbodenheizung hat! Keine gefrorenen Schlitten oder nassen Sachen mehr am Morgen, gehen Sie einfach in die beheizte Spielzeuggarage und machen Sie sich auf den Weg zu Ihrem nächsten Abenteuer!
Es gibt auch eine angebaute Garage für 1 Auto und jede Menge Parkplätze in der Auffahrt für all Ihre Fahrzeuge, LKWs und Anhänger. Und die Auffahrt ist eine Kreisfahrt, sodass Sie keine Anhänger mehr sichern oder versuchen müssen, herauszufinden, wie Sie sich wenden können.

With four siblings and their spouses, we converged on a beautifully appointed home in the woods! Campfires, walks, games in the large yard overlooking Lake Superior, there was so much much comfort, joy and relaxation in the house! A warm fireplace in the great room, large eating area, table big enough for all, lovely large bedrooms! The garage so big we could play cornhole! Our stay was just delightful, and we wholeheartedly recommend this home!

A Grand Stay in Grand Marais, MI
We had a wonderful Summer family vacation at this property in Grand Marais, MI. We had a total of nine people in our group, which included 4 teenagers. The house easily fit all of us and had plenty of options to keep everyone entertained. The kids really enjoyed the game room and bedroom they shared. All the beds were very comfortable, and the bathrooms had everything you need to feel at home. The owner was more than accommodating and very helpful. They gave us suggestions for places to hike, eat, and shop at that didn't disappoint. The house sits in a great spot overlooking Lake Superior and the friendly town of Grand Marais. The town has some great places to eat, drink, and shop at. The people around town were friendly and helpful as well. The sunset at the home was like none we had ever seen. We had one clear night while there that gave us unforgettable Northen Lights show (when using our camera phone filters). Au Sable lighthouse and Log Slide are a few miles away, and you're within a 1.5-hour drive to Pictured Rocks and Tahquamenon Falls. Both are worth the visit, and if going to Pictured Rocks we'd recommend viewing them by water. We hope to come back in the winter months to snowmobile through the UP and take advantage of the drive through snowmobile wing attached to the home. A Great Home on the Great Lakes with a Great owner. What more could ask for!

Spectacular
Fabulous house. Great accommodations. Beautiful views. We visited Whitefish Point and Sault Ste. Marie. We also spent a day in town. It was fun to visit Grand Marais Tavern and the Dunes Saloon. I would recommend to stay here if you enjoy the outdoors but want a place to come back to so you can cook out, make dinners, enjoy the fire, and visit with family or friends.

The views are absolutely stunning! This house has it all and it is a beautiful house! Comfortable and well thought out and well appointed. We didn’t get to use the garage (we don’t have toys) or the fire pit (weather) but the house fit us perfectly and was a great location! The property owner was helpful and kind and a great resource! Yes, it isn’t cheap, but worth the money, esp if you have toys! We had a great stay. Thanks!

What an amazing home base for our annual adventure! The home was perfect, the view was amazing! The weather was fantastic and the trails were great! We had a fantastic week at your place, the home was spotless, the beds were great, it had everything we needed! Highlights: two hearted River, Crisp Point lighthouse, Benny the Troll, log slide, many waterfalls, Uglyfish Bakery, Dunes Saloon for dinner. We got a personal tour of the Pickle Barrel museum as well. 320 miles of trails on the side by sides. Thanks for sharing the Ridge with us this week!

My family and I had the pleasure of staying at the Ridge for a week in August 2023. What an incredible property!! We have been coming to Northern Michigan/U.P. for 15 years now, and hands down, this was the nicest house we have ever stayed in. The views of Lake Superior and Grand Marais Harbor from the house were jaw-dropping. We never got tired of looking out the windows and were sad when it was time to leave. The house is spotless and extremely well-maintained. The owners are fantastic to deal with. They checked in periodically to make sure everything was going well and to see if they could answer any questions. The house was fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. (We used the large propane grill to cook dinner each night.) Plus, we were greeted with a treat basket full of delicious goodies, as well as two high quality thermal tumblers as a welcome gift. We have never felt so appreciated as house guests! We had a blast playing all the games in the separate game room -- foosball, ping pong, pop-a-shot, corn hole. My husband used the separate exercise room every morning. The house is ideally situated to explore Pictured Rocks, as well as other nearby attractions. (Crisp Point Lighthouse was a highlight of the trip.) Grand Marais is a magical place, made all the more special by being able to stay in this incredible property. Would stay here again in a heart beat.

My husband and I were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary with our 5 adult children and their spouse and we all agreed the house was perfect both in amenities and location. Lots to do in the area - atv riding, hiking, lighthouse tours, Picture Rock sunset cruise and just hanging at the house together. Would definitely come back again. Beautiful home!

Best VRBO house we've ever stayed in! Re-lived a family vacation from 30 years ago to the UP. House was plenty big enough for the next generation with 7 adults and 4 kids under the age of 6. Didn't use 1 full bedroom. JD and Jason were great hosts and very helpful before and during stay, neighbor is remote enough, but was very nice and came over to warn us about a bear in the area. House is better furnished than our own house, beds very comfortable. Game room/yard games provided endless entertainment. Very clean and easy to clean. The toy garage hosted many dance contests. View of Grand Marais harbor and sunsets was amazing. We wish the house was about 10-12 hours closer to us so we could go back more frequently. Only negative comment (and this is very very minor) a few extra dish towels would be helpful. To avoid some gravelly roads, map directions to Grand Marais and then the house, rather than directly to the house.

Perfect UP summer getaway
The house was amazing! Perfect home base for all our UP adventures. Clean, well stocked, and plenty of space for our two families vacationing together. Teens loved the game and bunk room. View was incredible. Everything we needed plus a few extra comforts. Owner even gave our car a jump start when battery died as we were checking out! Only teensie tiny complaint was that the lights in the entire house were super dim. But in the summertime there was so much daylight it wasn’t much of an issue. Wish we could have stayed longer and would definitely come again.
