We enjoyed the time to relax. We felt secure and comfortable in our private studio accommodation, that provided a great pad from which to explore the sights in the area. This place contained everything we needed for a pleasant short stay, and it would still be great if the stay was longer than a weekend.
Green Head is a quiet coastal town, not much happening, especially being the end of school holidays. Weather was lovely until it rained on our day of departure. The rain seemed to wash some of the seaweed odor out of the air. The shoreline around the 3 bays was a foot deep in rotting seaweed, which I believe is seasonal. The smell covered the whole town in a mild pungent odor, although Milligan's Island was less impacted.
If you're staying in Green Head, then make sure you spend time in Leeman, which is 10 min drive north. And for the more adventurous, head 25 min drive south to Jurien Bay to sample a wider range of exciting activities and popular eating. Whatever you go along the turquoise, prepare to take photos of some awesome sunsets
