„Classy Hotel in an 18th Century Georgian architectural landmark which was saved by the Hotel Company. Went there first on a rushed business trip and went back half a year later to enjoy it finally with my partner. The pool is warm and not exactly for a sporty swimmer, but is nice with the opportunity to swim outdoors. Beds and Breakfast are excellent and up to the price. After finding the south of England more and more crowded, the Peak District is an area I was happy to discover.“

„Warm welcome awaited us at Hotel combined with a personal walk around hotel and grounds by concierge service. Room was well appointed and spotlessly clean. Food at breakfast was delicious and served individually which meant it was hot. Dinner was fantastic with a varied and interesting menu. Service by staff in both restaurant and bar was great without being intrusive. But the star attraction at breakfast, dinner and drinks in the bar was the view.“

„Leider war der SPA Bereich nicht genügend die Pools waren nicht benutzbar ( Kein Wasser) und das Frühstück war nur genügend für dieses Hotel . Das Personal war sehr freundlich. “

„Dog-friendly hotel, located outside the city centre at a nice environment- perfect to walk the dogs. Very comfortable rooms. Breakfast was very basic and can‘t be recommended….at least not for GBP 18,-. Overall a good place to stay for dog owners.“

„Loved the restaurant. Excellent service. Everyone we met was very friendly and cheerful throughout our stay. The treatment in the Spa was very good but the Spa area is too small. And due to it being half term - full of grandparents and parents with small children who took over the pool. Nowhere to relax as all the empty seats were piled up with used towels. The hotel should consider removing the gym and expanding the Spa IMO! Would go back for the hotel and it's excellent location and quality ...
