„Classy Hotel in an 18th Century Georgian architectural landmark which was saved by the Hotel Company. Went there first on a rushed business trip and went back half a year later to enjoy it finally with my partner. The pool is warm and not exactly for a sporty swimmer, but is nice with the opportunity to swim outdoors. Beds and Breakfast are excellent and up to the price. After finding the south of England more and more crowded, the Peak District is an area I was happy to discover.“

„The Hotel is lovely when you drive in although it is easy to miss the entrance. Our room was in the Coach House and was clean but a little dated. The Spa is lovely and clean but lacks beds for the amount of people that visit it, and the changing rooms lack personal changing lockers. The Sauna and the steam room are not very hot but again they were nice and clean and you can hire a robe, towel and slippers for £10 per person for the duration of your stay. Although we did not get a treatment ...

„A very classic, traditional place. Very competent service. A good restaurant. The breakfast is worth it. The beds and matresses are outdated and do not correspond to today´s five star standards. Overall a very good exclusive hotel. “

„Leider war der SPA Bereich nicht genügend die Pools waren nicht benutzbar ( Kein Wasser) und das Frühstück war nur genügend für dieses Hotel . Das Personal war sehr freundlich. “

„Dog-friendly hotel, located outside the city centre at a nice environment- perfect to walk the dogs. Very comfortable rooms. Breakfast was very basic and can‘t be recommended….at least not for GBP 18,-. Overall a good place to stay for dog owners.“

„Fabulous hotel for a weekend getaway. Plenty of walks during the day and great restaurants in the evening. I recommend the hotel's restaurant The Jetty. One of the best italian meals had. Room (415) overlooking the harbour was magnificent. Wonderful location with good local pubs and a short drive to the coast or New Forest.“
