„Good reception, we were expected and shown to our room. Quiet location, very isolated but a very popular venue, well attended. Restaurant food is excellent and the English breakfast was superb. Our room was directly over the bar and it’s quite noisy which didn’t bother us particularly as it quietens down after closing. The walls are quite thin so you can hear guests in other rooms. „The Sugarbeat B&B is a great home from home, staff, food and service is top notch! Our room ‘Manilow’ was ok but noisy in the morning from 0700 with extractor fans for kitchens, plus doesn’t go off until 1100. The room low roof made it very difficult to relax, plus only one chair to watch tv or have a coffee in room. Cleanliness could be a little bit better with some stains and marks on furniture. Overall an excellent place and have booked again for April.“

„Wir waren vor 5 Jahren schon mal im Cliff-Hotel anläßlich einer Hochzeit bei Freunden. Der Service ist ok, die Betten gut. Die Beleuchtung im Bad ist allerdings ein Witz, viel zu dunkel, keine Beleuchtung in Spiegelnähe, nur ein paar eingebaute Deckenleuchten. Zum Schminken etc. muss man sich im Zimmer vor den Spiegel setzen. Wir hatten zuerst ein Zimmer im Obergeschoss direkt unter dem Dach, wo es trotz Ventilator unerträglich heiß war (bei Außentemperaturen knapp über 20 Grad). Wir haben dann ...

„My stay at the Pier Hotel was very pleasant. The staff were excellent & the room was clean. The only complaint I have is that the bathroom had a long window which was clear glass & the blind had to be permanently pulled down otherwise anyone walking past can see someone sitting on the toilet or having a shower.“
