The Cabin
The cabin boasts modern amenities and three spacious bedrooms. Your family will enjoy gathering around the fireplace in the great room while the chef of the family takes advantage of the well-equipped kitchen. The basement is recently remodeled and features a game room complete with ping pong, air hockey, darts, foosball, and arcade games. Outside you’ll enjoy rocking on the front porch or warming yourself by the firepit. Several outdoor games are available as well. Things to Know
The property is located off of a well-maintained road that’s also a snow emergency route (will be plowed first in case of snowfall). Your adventure begins when you access the cabin itself via a 700-foot gated gravel road that is fairly steep in parts. We’ve had large trucks and small sports cars up the road--but please take care and drive slowly to avoid any issues.
You’re in nature! There aren’t any neighbors nearby and it gets very dark at night. You’re also likely to see critters such as chipmunks, lizards, snakes, moths, and other bugs. We don’t have any pest issues in the cabin, but please be aware that you’re sharing the land with God’s creatures.
Firewood is provided for the fireplace and fire pit, should you choose to use them.
The cabin’s water is provided from a well. We have a 2-stage filtration system in place, and the water is safe to drink. The water is drawn from the same mineral-rich mountain aquifer that makes Berkeley Spring famous, so you may occasionally detect a slight mineral odor when running water. This is normal.
The cabin is equipped with satellite internet and has wifi. However, the connection is not fast and has high latency. Please do not plan to stream large amounts of video, etc. Most cell phones get about 2 bars of reception in the cabin.
