„We wanted a peaceful getaway and that’s what got at the Buck Shack. We were a short drive with breathtaking views and landscapes. We enjoyed a campfire with s’mores at night. Enjoyed the sound of nature and birds singing. Had excellent communication with host and most everything we needed when we arrived. The indoor decor is rustic and beautifully decorated with small accents and details. Highly recommend!☺️“

„The cabin was adorable but I didn’t realize the two person cabin had no bathroom. We were at the top of the hill and had to drive downhill to the bath house. Would have been nice to have a bathroom at least near our cabin to use at night. Also it was a surprise for the $200 deposit to come out the day before our arrival in addition to what we paid. Everything was clean and nice other than that.“

„Our week long stay at this cozy, comfortable cabin surrounded by rolling hills was all we'd hoped for and more. We enjoyed waking to see deer and wild turkeys on the manicured lawn. The cattle in the adjacent pasture added to the bucolic beauty and serenity of the property. Jan is an excellent host who goes above and beyond to make sure his guests have everything they could possibly need or want. “

„The house is really really lovely. all historic wood trims, bumped-out reading nooks, beautiful staircase, etc. The location looks super convenient on a map - right on Main Street - but OH the truck traffic! Even all through the night trucks go by. Like all historic houses, this one is right on top of the street, so sleep was not so great. „This house has a lot of history and reminded me and my wife of our childhood. Very clean and organized! Appreciate the hosts for there efforts in making us welcome. We would recommend this location to anyone and would come back if the opportunity presents itself in the future.
