The property was clean and nicely decorated. We didn't cook but it seemed well-equipped for those who do. Host was very responsive though we had no issues requiring attention.
The property is isolated and quiet. We used it as a base for cycling portions of the KATY Trail and it's very convenient to the Hartsburg Trailhead, and access to the Hart's Creek Conservation Area. We enjoyed the bird concert with our early morning coffee.
A couple of caveats which are by no means complaints, but might be relevant to others. As stated above, the property was perfect for us and we would stay there again. Recommended without hesitation.
First, because of the property's isolation, one must drive a bit for services such as groceries, restaurants, etc. Not a problem for us. Also cell coverage can be spotty, but WI-FI calling on the provided connection was fine.
Second, the property is a repur0osed 19th Century farm house. One can see where additions were made over the years. Architecturally, it's quite interesting. It is by no means "rustic," but there areas in the transitions between additions where the floors are uneven, which might be an issue for some people.
As indicated, we had a great time and would recommend this property for those seeking a place of quiet solitude, relax and leave other worldly cares behind.
