„Trout Lake has been an annual summer trip for us for the last 7 years and this house is our favorite rental by far. The cottage is cozy, but well appointed. We love the extensive waterfront in this beautiful cove and spend most of our time on the pontoon, in kayaks, hanging out on the dock or in the game room, and playing in the beautifully clear water. „Wonderful private spot next to St Regis River. Very responsive host. There are 2 or 3 other rentals in the property, but it is so large that you get all the privacy. Hiking trails and canoes/kayaks in the property. Star Link Internet is fast and the cabin is just as it looks in the pictures: cozy, well thought, peaceful, private. "Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Hotel liegt zentral und doch idyllisch mit Blick auf den Raquette-River und den Ives-Park. Potsdam N. Y. ist jedoch in keinster Weise ein touristischer Ort, sondern eher das sprichwörtliche „Provinznest“. Die Zimmer sind im typisch gemütlichen US-Stil eingerichtet: gedeckte Farben, dicker rostroter Teppich, Holzmöbel, sauber und mit ein paar Annehmlichkeiten, wie einem großen TV, einer Kaffeemaschine, einem Kühlschschrank und Mikrowelle ausgestattet. Der TV ist aber etwas unglücklich platziert, da er in der einen Ecke des Raumes gegenüber einem der Betten steht und vom anderen Bett aus nur in einem flachen Winkel angeschaut werden kann. Das Mobiliar hat seine besten Jahre hinter sich und bräuchte mal eine Auffrischung, die Tapete löst sich an einige Stellen bereits von den Wänden. Positiv: Bequeme Betten Sauberes Badezimmer Großer Parkplatz direkt am Hotel Negativ: Im Pantrybereich war der Kleenexspender leer. Laute Gasheizung unter dem Fenster, die unvermittelt auch nachts anspringt und im ersten Moment an eine Straßenkehrmaschine denken lässt, die draußen ihre Arbeit verrichtet. Die Möbel sind schon etwas abgestoßen und stellenweise renovierungsbedürftig. Sowohl im Zimmer, als auch im Frühstücksraum. Die Tapeten lösen sich bereits von der Wand. Der Lärmpegel des Straßenverkehrs ist bisweilen etwas lästig. Zudem befindet sich in nächster Nähe zum Hotel eine Feuerwache und unvermittelt kan"
