„We traveled to the area for some winter hiking on the nearby Appalachian Trail and luckily chose to stay at the Lake Chatuge Lodge. Very friendly and helpful staff, our room was large and comfortable, adequate breakfast, and a nice bonus for us; clean and economical laundry machines on our floor. Great nearby locally owned restaurants and retailers too. We originally booked 2 nights and ended up staying 2 additional nights. „We loved staying at the Hersie House. The home is extremely well equipped with all the essentials and a few nice extras that we didn’t expect, such as coffee and creamer and spices in the kitchen. The decor was charming. We enjoyed looking at the pictures of the renovation and reading about the history of the place. The heated bathroom floor was a touch of heaven! We will be back!!“
