„It’s such a lovely place, a historic building surrounded by beautiful gardens. The evening I arrived I went for a hike to the nearest tor. The foot path starts right across the street and takes you up to wonderful views of the countryside in just 20 min! My room had a big bath tub and I took a long bath after the hike. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. Loved every moment of my stay. “

„Wunderschönes altes Hotel bzw. Inn mit Geschichte, inklusive Restaurant/Pub mit hervorragendem Essen. Herzliche und aufmerksame Besitzer, ruhige Lage, tolle alte Zimmer mit Himmelbett. Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, war das beste Hotel in unserer England-Reise. Wonderful historic hotel with excellent food, amazing rooms; by far the nicest place to stay during our South England trip. „A charming little B&B above a biker cafe. Comfortable rooms with all the facilities you need. The owners and cafe staff were welcoming and couldn’t do enough to make the stay as fantastic as possible. A great place to use as a base from which to explore Devon. We will e returning.“

„If you are walking the Tarka Trail, actually even if you are not, this is the place to stay. The setting is idyllic the hosts are so welcoming and helpful and the lodge is well equipped. “

„All in all me and my partner loved our short stay away in a beautiful shepherds hut. It was out of the way and so peaceful, i’d definitely stay here again. The only thing that let it down was the door latches and there was a gap in the bathroom door. “

„Lovely hotel. Clean and tidy. Food at the hotel was good. Only negative was that I dropped my earring on the floor pulled the bed out and found loads of bugs, made me itch once I found out I had slept next to them. Just hope none have come home with me. “

„Had a lovely stay in the Owl's Roost. The hosts were so kind and couldn't have been more helpful. It was so peaceful being surrounded by fields. The cabin was very clean and beautifully decorated, and the bed was comfy! We will be returning again in the future.“

"Das Hotel liegt zentral im Ort Ilfracombe. Egal ob man auf dem Coast Trail wandern möchte, im Ort ins Restaurant will, bei Lidl einkaufen oder zu Hafen: Es ist alles fußläufig. Parken kann man kostenlos in den Seitenstraßen, wenn man bereit ist ca. 1 km weit zu laufen oder sich etwas länger auf die Parkplatzsuche zu begeben. Das Hotel selbst ist sauber aber renovierungsbedürftig. Unser Zimmer war preiswert aber dafür klein und mit Blick auf einen Innenhof (daher sehr ruhig). Das Hotelpersonal war sehr freundlich. Das Hotel selbst wird überwiegend von Golden Agers besucht. Dementsprechend ist auch die Live Musik am Abend ;-) Dank Lidl um die Ecke haben wir auf Verpflegung im Hotel verzichtet."
