"Nive location: directly at River ness, nice scottish building with flair from the outside and a good bar. The rooms cannot keep up with the outside impression, though. Cleaning was not done properly. Breakfast with limited choice, Pancakes only if you pay extra, quality medium. But located within few walking minutes from city and a lot of bars and restaurants still a good place to stay few nights. "

"I Loved the charm of the old days. Loved the stairs in the Lobby. Few Things should be done : isolating the Windows, warm dishes for Break-fast like ham and eggs, few places where fresh Paint is needed, Put Covers in the Coke cans maybe with Hotellogo as it spoiles the charm when you think about the Name Royal. But Seen in total it was a very pleasent stay and I would book it again."

"We had several options and chose this hotel because the website advertised regional cuisine and a focus on sustainability. Sadly the kitchen was "unfortunately closed today" - every day! The hotel looks great on the website, but in reality it is a hostel with mostly untrained staff right next to a private junkyard. You can tell in every minute that there is no manager on site (at least we didn't see one and that's exactly how it was). There was no room service and there was a lot of mold in the bathroom. The breakfast could have been good, but despite the staff having a notebook, they couldn't get a single order right. It was a truly absurd stay with at most hostel quality. The weakest hotel on our road trip so far. Definitely not recommended!"

"Wunderschönes Hotel mit historischen Zimmern. Die Zimmer waren sehr schön und sauber. Das Personal sehr freundlich. Die Aussicht auf das Meer und den Hafen wunderschön. Gute Parkplätze. Essen war hervorragend. Alles war perfekt. Kann ich sehr empfehlen."

"Das Zimmer ist sauber und funktionabel, nur der Boden knarzt. Man hat einen tollen Ausblick auf den gegenüberliegenden See. Vor allem abends hat man einen tollen Sonnenuntergang zu sehen! Wir haben ein Abendessen bestellt. Man ist zwar satt geworden, aber die Qualität des Essens glich eher einer Kantine. Das ganze Hotel ist schon ein bisschen älter und bräuchte eigentlich eine Renovierung. Nichtsdestotrotz wird das Hotel bestimmt immer gut gebucht sein. Insgesamt ist die Preis-Leistung in Ordnung."
