This secluded paradise, tucked away on a mountain top, will give you that centered peace you’ve been looking for. Located in the hills of bourbon country, Kentucky: a vast property of hundreds of acres to explore and enjoy is situated with no neighbors, no noises and no worries behind a gated entry. Natural ambience is all you’ll hear. It is a guaranteed “never want to leave” stay. Hike one of the many trails, pet the horses, fish in the pond, play some disc golf, throw some corn hole, plan a kayaking trip, lounge in the hammock, roast some marshmallows over the fire, or take a nap! Whatever it is that you are seeking, I can promise you will find it here. 10 minutes from Log Still Amp, 15 minutes from Hodgenville or Elizabethtown. 30 minutes from Bardstown. 40 minutes South of Louisville.
This home will sleep 5 comfortably. The master is a large private room with1 (queen) bed, all linens included. There are also 2 twin beds in the lofted upstairs bedroom with a couch. It is accessed by the ladder seen in the photos, be sure you are ok with the ladder access before booking if you will need the twin beds. We do not permit toddlers upstairs, and you must confirm that you agree to assume all liability for falls, accidents and injuries before booking.
Additionally, a futon couch is in the living room for additional guests, but we do not provide bedding for the extra sleeping arrangements.
There are a ton of amenities located on the property from board games, corn hole, disc golf, darts, hiking, biking, or fishing at the pond, located behind the main house 1/4 mile down from your reservation stay. And the Rolling Fork River is only 5 minutes drive away. We share the property with our guests openly, just let us know if you have any questions about any of the areas.
The trails are easily seen and groomed, and a map is within the photos, but use your google earth or map to coordinate your location, just in case. Less than 5 miles away you will find a put in/take out Point to the Rolling Fork River for kayaking. And of course, the heart of KY- go do the Bourbon Trail of Bardstown, voted Americas most beautiful city and see our globally known distilleries. The Log Still Amp is only 9 miles from this stay. And Elizabethtown/Fort Knox is 20-30 minutes drive away.
House Rules:
1. Absolutely no pets upstairs, no smoking in the unit, put everything back as it was when you entered before leaving. No disrespect to the property, animals, persons or tampering with the cameras.
Rule 2- Clean up after yourself, your children and your pets. If you wish to smoke outside- do not throw butts on the ground, dispose of them in the garbage. This unit is very remote and is not on a sewage system like in a city. Do not flush any paper, feminine napkins or napkins in the toilet for this reason. Please use the trash bin. Before you leave: unplug coffee pot, fireplace, and fan. Take all trash out to the bins outside the garage. Wash any dishes used, and return any items back to their original placement. Place the air unit on economy setting and be sure to close the door.
Rule 3- if you wish to fish, you can only do so with barbless hooks, and catch and release method. Swimming is allowed but at your own risk, no life guard is on duty.
