Home away from Home at BEYONDER Getaway

Welcome to the BeyonderBnB, a retreat with all of the amenities and luxuries of home, for a night or a week away. The retreat will sleep and accommodate up to 8 people with a king size master suite, a bunk bed room, and a third room with a queen bed. The fully stocked kitchen, grill, and outdoor eating area aims to please. All campground amenities are available to guests in our retreat!

Disappointed
We stayed last year and everything was wonderful. This year was a totally different story. The master bath had not been cleaned(hair and dead bugs in the shower and the toilet was just nasty). The dirty towels from the previous renters were still on the floor of the laundry room. There were no fresh towels for the bathrooms or kitchen. I sent two emails to the host but never heard anything back. We were able to get some help from a gal that works in the camp office. It’s sad to see what a difference a year makes and not for the good.

Hideaway without kitchen provisions
If you are using for an extended stay, bring your own towels and kitchen pans. We were left with only 4 towels for 4 adults, for 4 days. The kitchen contained one 8" fry pan, two small pots. Not the best VRBO we have ever stayed at. The location was perfect for our needs, but the kitchen was not as "stocked" as other VRBOs. The cleaner should have come in and "freshened" up the place, several dead fly's on the window sills in each room, the shower in the master had hair still on the walls, and No I am not being too critical. Two of then beds didn't have comforters on, we had to go "in search of".

Good place
Very nice place, within a reasonable distance around other areas when you want to go do other things or go out to eat. I think my only downfall with this is that there are no trash cans other than in the kitchen the bathrooms need trash cans and in the bedrooms, also, the socket in the master bedroom didn’t work, but other than those little things, and maybe you know knowing where to put our trash especially if we’re going to stay for a few days other than that, I can’t think of anything major. These were all little complaints. I really enjoyed it and I would definitely go back again.

Very quiet with lots of rv and campers. Fresh red and golden apples picked off the trees. On site smoked brisket barbecue dinner was very good. Easy to find location.Staff at the campstire were friendky and informative. A nice place to relax.Vrbo had 2 baths and 3 bedrooms , kitchen

We went to Iowa City for my daughters grad from Iowa and found this gem just west of Iowa City. Located in campground with MULTIPLE activities including swimming. The property has a very nice car port and an even nicer very large covered deck with tables and chairs. Had a couple issues when we arrived, but these were addressed immediately by management. Will look for this place again if we are back to to Iowa City!

Good, Comfortable Location
Good location. Amenities were comfortable and clean. Reasonably close to Iowa City. Excellent, clear skies for stargazing in the evenings. Staff at check in were friendly. Encountered some trouble communicating with the owner, all figured out in the end though. However, overall a very solid stay.

Beautiful House
The property was AMAZING and perfect for my family. We are avid campers and were actually looking for a place to stay that wasn't a hotel, but better. The only issue with the property was the clothes washer & dryer. They were a little messed up, but that can happen and it did not spoil our wonderful time we had here. We are looking forward to coming back again.

So so....
For the money this property was not bad. The check in process was a little frustrating because I should have gotten the code via VRBO but nothing came through. When we showed up the office was closed and I was just lucky enough to find one of the members of the staff and he helped get me the information I needed. Once there if I had problems communication with the manager went well. We were also a little disappointed that the pool was being resurfaced during our stay, but we didn't have much time to enjoy it anyway. They did have a beach with a pond and a water trampoline, but I have too many littles to take them solo. The house itself was exactly as described. Kitchen was fully stocked. The washer was insanely loud but did the job. There was plenty of room for my family. I'm honestly not sure if we would stay here again.

Thus property owners booked the property onsite and I booked it through VRBO. They gave me my money back but what would I have done had arrived and found this out.

NEVER GOT TO STAY, BECAUSE THEY DOUBLED BOOKED!
I have used VRBO for many years and I have to say this is the first time I was contacted a day before my trip and was informed that they had doubled booked my stay and I had no where to stay. I had booked my rental almost 2 months in advance and to be contacted so late was just so unprosessional and rude. I was having to scramble to try and find a place the night before I left. I was attending a wedding in Iowa along with my family, so this was a big inconvenience. I do not recommend you rent from this person, because they will blame their mistake on a computer error.
