Immaculate Waterfront Cottage on deep water canal, private dock, fenced garden

This cozy pet friendly cottage lets you catch fish right from your own doorstep! It is a small cottage with a nice size bedroom with a king size bed. The living room has a futon that opens up to a full-size bed. The kitchen is well stocked and has a full-size refrigerator, stove and microwave. The living room has a beautiful waterfront view. The Tiki bar in the photos is your space as well (there is a door into another unit opening into the Tiki bar for access only).

You can catch your own bait: pinfish, crabs or mullet. You are likely to see dolphins and manatees from your living room. There's a screened-in bar area with comfortable chairs to nod off in. You are minutes by boat or car to the Homosassa Wildlife Park.

There are many fine restaurants in the Homosassa and Crystal River area for your enjoyment of quaint Florida Southern cooking.

If you would like an IMMACULATE quiet place for great fishing or just as a place to nod your head give us a call. I believe this could be the place for you at an affordable rate. If you are looking for a place to entertain your friends while staying at the Rod'n'Nod, we would suggest that you kindly look elsewhere. The cottage is perfect for a couple. It is not suitable for additional overnight guests.

I would be happy to bring you over to the 'springs' to see more manatees than you can count. If you are more adventurous you can jump in the crystal, clear water and swim with the manatees.

You are welcome to bring your own boat and dock at your doorstep. If you are interested in a fishing guide, I could arrange to have a guide pick you up at your doorstep. The Florida record tarpon was caught just a mile or so from the cottage.There are two kayaks ready to go and a charcoal grill free of charge

Had to share properties and too small
The property was too small and having to share boat dock with other tenant. The cottage was very small for 3 persons. Unlikely to rent this place again unfortunately.

Cute and quiet
This was a nice little place and we did enjoy our visit but we didn’t know we would be sharing a common area in between another rental home. Thankfully the people were very nice and we had no issues but still it wasn’t disclosed in the rental advertising. At times it was a bit weird and a little awkward but all in al it was a nice vacation and will probably go back to the homosassa area.

Perfect get-away cottage
Excellent property. Very peaceful. They graciously provided everything we needed for our 5 night stay. John and his wife were excellent hosts & extremely accommodating. They went over & above. Quality linens, fluffy towels, washcloths & very clean throughout cottage. They provided full size bar soap, ample toilet paper, paper towels, Keurig coffee pods, garbage bags, etc, plenty of hangers, fun games. They were not stingy in any way, shape or form. Great boat dock for our 17' boat. Quiet friendly neighbors on the canal. Rosemary made us a delicious cake one night. The best dessert we had on our trip was hers. Our dog loved the grassy fenced in little yard. We saw numerous manatees & birds. Would absolutely stay here again. Seafood Sellers, recommended by our hosts, had the best food. All fresh! We ate there several nights. Highly recommend.

Pleasant Waterfront Stay in Homosassa
This cottage was lovely for a getaway for my spouse and me. It was impeccably clean and fresh-smelling, and exactly as it appeared in photos. The location is easily accessed and conveniently located near several good restaurants and a Publix store. We enjoyed sitting on the quiet canal-front deck in the evenings. The owners were quick to respond via texts and left us a sweet surprise: a plate of fresh homemade cookies. Thanks for a lovely stay…we’d be happy to return.

Great place to relax
Looking for a place to relax and maybe fish during our downtime and this place was perfect. The place was immaculate, the neighborhood was quiet, and the fish were biting! And as a nice surprise, John and his wife gave us homemade brownies and homemade dog biscuits for our puppy. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone that is looking to unwind.

Wonderful getaway
We loved our stay there!! It was so cozy and being on the water was a plus. We just wanted to relax and couldn’t have picked a better place. And don’t get me started on the scrumptious brownies that John’s wife baked . They were the best. It was a very nice and delicious treat !!! Loved the towels. So nice and soft. Everything you needed was furnished. Didn’t need to buy anything but what you wanted to eat!!! And did I mention the brownies 🤩 Thank you for being such great hosts!!!

Very relaxing. Sitting on the back porch/deck watching fish jump and various species of birds was wonderful. At night, you have to watch the fish swim around the underwater light. Everything was as advertised. Hosts were very helpful and welcoming. The homemade treats were a tasty surprise. If we ever return to Homosassa we will definitely stay here. Perfect Location
The rental was exactly as described in the listing. It was clean and had everything we needed. I like being able to park close to the door and have everything on one floor. It was very relaxing and seemed as though we were far away but the rental is so close to everything, stores, attractions and restaurants. Just right for a couple
Perfect space for two of us and our pup! Our hosts went out of their way to make us to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We brought our 19ft center console, which fit perfectly at the dock right outside our back slider door. Though it was a tight fit, there was space to accommodate our boat trailer as well as our Ram 1500 on site. We will definitely be back as soon as possible!

Had a nice relaxing time in and around Homosassa. Spent mornings & evenings sitting outside watching for wildlife, saw turtles, manatees, dolphins, various birds & fish. John & his wife are wonderful hosts. Take a walk down to Margurita Grill, you won't be disappointed.

Just the best!
We cannot say enough about this wonderful place! The house is well appointed and very very clean ! We loved sitting in the outside patio right on the river ! So peaceful! Our dog loved being able to run about with the fenced in yard! It was truly ideal for a getaway ! The owners are so great! Very helpful ! The baked brownies they delivered were the best! Do not hesitate to rent this little piece of heaven! It’s a 10+!

Everything was exactly as pictured and described in the listing. This location is close to the springs, very easy boat access getting in and out from home to river, and excellent cold air to escape the heat. The clean and tidy 1 bd, 1 bath, living room/kitchen also has covered porch with boat dock, fenced in back yard area, covered parking for vehicle, and screened porch separating owner's home and the rental apartment. There was plenty of space for myself, my husband and our dog. We had all we needed for a relaxing week stay in Homosassa. Thank you so much for sharing your home.
