Many businesses, attractions and activities in the hurricane affected have reopened and are welcoming visitors. The getaway you need is just a few clicks away! River Rock Cabin has been thoughtfully appointed and stocked for comfort so you can begin to unwind soon after arriving. After getting settled, grab a beverage and head to the back porch to admire the serene mountain view as you softly sway in the ultra relaxing porch swing.

The cabin comfortably accommodates 6 guests, but is also nicely sized for smaller groups and even couples wanting a little more room to spread out.

For guests with a dog, we provide a 30” crate, which will hold up to a medium sized dog. We do not provide any dog beds or blankets.

A shed on the property provides secure, animal-proof housing for trash and recycle containers.

Safe haven
We stayed at the cabin through hurricane Helene. Fortunately, we did not lose power. Because of the storm, we could not leave the cabin. Apart from the storm outside, the cabin was cozy and had everything we needed to be comfortable. The kitchen is very well appointed for preparing meals. We will come back and stay here again, and will try to support the local community in its recovery from Helene.

Great Rental Home
The home is very nice, clean, and comfortable. It has spectacular views, great decks, and it is accurately described in the listing and photos. There was more attention to detail in this property than others that we have rented. Hosts are very good communicators and easy to deal with. We would definitely stay here or at one of their other properties in the future.

Fantastic Western NC Location
Firstly, Ron and Kathy are great host and have a wonderful house in Horse Shoe, NC.The location is very close to Asheville, Brevard, Hendersonville and the DuPont Forest. A short 20-30 minute drive and you are there. We like the mountains in Western NC and find them to be very accessible from their house. We really enjoyed the quiet location, views and well-equipped house. A new propane grill was on the deck with an extra tank sitting next to it. Many great details like this were taken care of. We will return again to escape the madness of the city that we live in. Hope this helps!

I've been renting cabins in the Western NC mountains a few times a year for 25 years and this is the cleanest cabin I have ever seen. It is also well stocked and up to date in every way. Just of Hwy 64, but secluded with a view of a valley over the river. Close to both Hendersonville and Brevard. There is an Ingles grocery just a couple miles away. The hosts were quick to communicate and very gracious. This was a solo business trip, but I promised my wife I'd bring her here on vacation soon.
