Brief family visit
We booked our stay last minute due to an unfortunate family event. We were very pleased with the accommodations and happy we were all able to stay together in such a lovely place. We do not get back to the area often. But may have to consider a summer trip to enjoy the outdoors and the lake.

Perfect
Perfect escape for a few days. A little cold to enjoy the lake but the view was beautiful. Cozy by the fire place. The setup was great for family with older kids. There are 2 accommodations with bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchen. The teens stayed in the renovated garage with TV and foosball. The adults were in the main house with comfy couches, fireplace, and lake views. Everything we needed was available. Newly renovated.

Pulling Competition
We came to Shipshewana MEC Center for a truck and tractor pull event - the property was great!! Due to the cold weather a couple of us considered staying at the house and watching the event via live stream!! that's how comfortable the house was - with the propane fireplace and stunning view (it was snowing great big flakes) The host answered all my questions before our trip and house was well stocked with towels - highly recommend - Thanks

Peaceful retreat
We had a wonderful time staying at this beautiful lakeside home. The lake was full of wildlife: turtles, deer geese loons. We kayaked around the lake everyday. Such a peaceful area and we were close to Shipshewana so we were able to go a horse auction and a swap meet as well as some of the local stores. Sarah was quick to reply to all of my questions. We will definitely want to stay here again!

Relax & unwind at Lakeside Retreat
We had a great stay at Lakeside Retreat!! The house had everything we needed for our quick 3-day getaway. The beds & pillows were very comfortable and the house was clean and welcoming. The outdoor patio was fantastic!! We had a bonfire the first night and made use of the kayaks as well. The lake is calm & beautiful; I loved watching the turtles pop their heads up near the pier and the beautiful swan swimming across the lake was the icing on the cake. We will definitely be back!

Summer Vacay
We really enjoyed our stay at the lake! The property was exactly like the listing pictures and description. There was plenty to do! The kayaks and canoe were easy to access and we used them everyday. We had icecream in Howe and the kids played on the playground in the evening. Another day we spent the afternoon shopping in Shipshewana and the kids enjoyed the carousel. We will definitely be back!

Another Wonderful Stay at the Lake House

Great Pigeon Lake Stay with a pretty view!
Great view, very clean with easy check-in. The place had everything we needed for cooking breakfast and dinner. The beds were comfortable. Kayaks were a nice bonus and just right for the small fishing lake. The home was close to Shipshewana and Middlebury. It was one of our best vacations and would recommend Sara. She was a great host!

Very nice, but...
Overall the property was really great. A few somewhat irritating things to mention.. there was no text option to communicate with the property manager. had to go through e-mail. When booked the check in and check out times were different from upon actual times. Finally, a couple of the stair bricks were coming loose at the entry steps. Don't let any of this deter one from using this property. Overall it is well maintained and has everything one needs and it is a truly beautyful , well done place. We enjoyed it.

August Birthday Celebration!
Sara was a very efficient hostess - any questions/concerns we had were quickly responded to. The location of her property is nice, as it is the last cottage before the boat launch. There were numerous small boat/kayak launchings while we were there, which made for interesting entertainment. The view of the lake from the family room/kitchen was fantastic in the morning and evening. Very well-stocked kitchen and comfortable, relaxing furniture in the family room. The two bedrooms are small but have plenty of closet/drawer space. The one thing lacking for me was the fact that the lake was more of a fishing lake, not conducive to swimming, which is what I planned on doing most of the time. My husband enjoyed fishing from the dock (which was too far away from the shore for me to step to), and I enjoyed reading on the lakeside patio. All in all our days spent there were relaxing for us.

Perfect oasis
A few friends and I really enjoyed our stay here! The owner was very prompt and helpful on any questions! Very safe neighborhood and beautiful home, the back patio and big windows towards the lake were a favorite! Also made use of the kayaks when the weather straightened out! Kitchen had everything we needed and more. Really nice and clean all around, comfy beds and all! Felt like home!
