Wunderschönes, luxuriöses Ferienhaus m Herzen des Goldenen Rings (N64°06.111' - W020°24.261'), 70 Autominuten von Islands Hauptstadt Reykjavik entfernt. Hier sind Sie von Ruhe und Frieden umgeben und genießen eine gute Aussicht auf den Gletscher Langjökull. 30 min entfernt: Laugavatn, Geysir, Gullfoss, Hvítá, Stöng, Búrfell, Selfoss 60 min entfernt: Hekla, Hella, Hvolsvöllur, Thingvellir, Langjökull (Gletscher) und eine Fähre nach Vestmannaeyjar. Gäste können in der Umgebung oder am Fluss Stóra Laxá, einem fischreichen Fluss voller Lachse und einer vielfältigen Vogelwelt, wandern. Polarlightnights in Iceland
We had a wonderful time in Cottage Hóll. The house is clean, comfortable and blessed with a magnificent view. Páll handed over the key directly at the airport and answered all other questions. The highlight was the whirlpool on the terrace and the northern lights in the clear sky. We definitely recommend it!

Perfektes Häuschen
Wir waren mit der Familie hier. Das Haus ist für 5 Personen ideal und sehr gemütlich. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt. Highlight war der Whirlpool in den wir jeden Tag reingesprungen sind. Das Haus ist wunderschön gelegen. Wir haben von hier aus viele Ausflüge auf dem Golden Ring und sogar bis zur Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon unternommen. Island hat uns fantastisch gefallen und gerne kommen wir eines Tages wieder.

Beautiful house in the middle of nowhere
The house is beautifully situated and very well equipped. There is a view over the entire plain to the geyser and the glacier. You can reach many sights from there. It was a wonderful two weeks with great experiences in nature. Absolutely recommended!

Sehr gemütliches Haus in toller Lage

Perfektes Häuschen für Familien!
Wir haben unsere Ferien in diesem wunderbaren Häuschen sehr genossen. Sigrun hat uns persönlich empfangen und alles erklärt. Es ist alles ganz sauber und mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht, vor allem die Küche .Die Lage auf einem Hügel bietet eine herrliche Rundumsicht und war für unsere Ausflüge in Südisland ideal. Nur 4km entfernt gibt es einen kleinen Supermarkt mit allem was man braucht und einen neuen Hofladen der frisches Gemüse,Fleisch u.Fisch direkt vom Erzeuger anbietet. Den Whirlpool auf der großen Terrasse werden wir sicher vermissen. Wir können dieses Häuschen nur weiterempfehlen! Familie Haug, 2Erw.+2 Teenager

Das Haus ist sehr schön gelegen und mit allem ausgestattet was man für einen perfekten Urlaub braucht. Der Vermieter Páll war super freundlich und jederzeit erreichbar. Das Highlight war natürlich der Hottub. Aber auch ein Bbq mit Nordlichtern ist grandios. Wir hatten einen tollen Urlaub.

Best Stay in Iceland
We've stayed a week in Pall's cottage and thought this was by far the best accomodation of the five vacation rentals we have had in Iceland. You feel that the cottage is not only built for rental but that the owners live there from time to time as well. The cottage provides all that you would expect plus some more for a very fair price: - Luxury jacuzzi on the patio. - The cottage was well stocked with everything that you would nee: washer, wifi, propane barbecue, very well equipped kitchen with excellent coffee/espresso maker and all you would need. - Wonderful views of Langjökull glacier and surrounding mountains with great sunets if weather permits. The positive impression started at the airport, where Pall (the owner) met us to hand over keys, a navigation system, a local phone and instructions on the cabins. Pall even gave us a ride to the rental cars, so we did not have to look and wait for the shuttle. We strongly recommend the cottage as a home base for touring the south-west of Iceland. With our 4x4 we did day-tours as far as Landmannlaugar in the East and Reykjanes in the West. For most other hikes, we only had a drive of 15-45 minutes from the cottage, which was very convenient. Sights like Gulfoss and Geysir are a mere 20min drive, so you can visit them in the evening (e.g. after your own barbecue dinner on the patio), way after the bus crowds have left to Reykjavik. If there is one thing to improve, it would be the mattresses in the bunk bed and the size of the queen sized beds in the 2 master bedrooms. I also would recommend the cottage for only up to 4 persons, even if it would accomodate 6 persons.

Very nice cottage with a beautiful view
The cottage is a very nice and comfortable place to stay. It's very well equipped and the communication with Páll is pretty quick and good. We saw a lot of northern lights from the porch and from the jacuzzi. This is definitely something you won't forget! We would definitely return there any time!

Totally Awesome
We couldn't of ask for anything better! Perfect location, out in the country yet close to horseback riding and white water rafting. A cute store near by and Secret Lagoon less than 10 minutes away. The house was so cozy and stocked with all sorts of cooking supplies. The deck and the hot tub were great. The host was awesome and shared with us places to visit and restaurants to try. Absolutely loved everything.

Great Icelandic experience
We had a wonderful time staying at the cottage. It gave us an opportunity to explore Iceland and we made many new memories. The cottage is close to all major attractions in the Golden Circle. It's hard to pick our favorite but we definitely loved volcanic craters, waterfalls, and the black beach. Our family of four had everything we needed for our stay and enjoyed the cozy and well equipped accomodation. The immediate surrounding of the cottage is beautiful and the views from the terrace and the living room are unbelievable. Pall, the owner, welcomed us at the airport which made the arrival comfortable. We definitely recommend this property.

Cottage Holl was perfect!
I’m not sure where to begin! Our first trip as a family of five over seas and Cottage Holl was our home away from home. We stayed for a week and found it’s location perfect to everything in southern Iceland we could think to do. Pall, our host was just the best- from our very first emailed communication I could tell we were in good hands. He even met us at the airport with keys and a gps, as well as offer up lots of tips to all the nearby attractions and local spots. Not to mention sharing his beautiful home. It was so much more than what we expected. Comfortable space for our family, great views, the hot tub, and everything we could have needed for a long stay. Thank you thank you. I will forever recommend Cottage Holl to anyone looking for accommodations in southern Iceland and will look forward to a stay one day again.

very pleasant and highly recommended
The house is very functional and offered a lot of space for 4 people but will also work for 6. We were lucky with the weather and even enjoyed the roomy deck some sunny mornings The kitchen is fully provisioned with the most basic spices and a selection of pots and pans. Pall met with us up in the airport and handed us the key and his personal GPS which made it very easy to find the hut. Our experience was that neither the car's building GPS nor Google maps were able to identify the hut with any precision.

Absolutely perfect
I'm not sure how to not go over the top with this review to be honest. Pall was an incredible host going well over and above what any host should need to. We got stuck in rekyjavik due to bad weather so pall said to go back to his where we had tea whilst he tried, and did, find us suitable accommodation for the night. The next day a road opened but because the weather was harsh he wanted to escort us to ensure we got there OK. That was about 8 hours of his day lost to help us out! We really appreciated it so much. We checked out a day early as ity turns out friends of ours were in town.. Despite having made the booking pall wanted to get a partial refund.. Maybe it a UK thing, but this wouldnt happen in the UK! I also broke a suitcase and he offered to give me one to get my home. A lovely chap, with a lovely family.. The cottage was exactly l what we wanted. Warm, comfortable, extremely well provisioned, the hot tub was lovely. The location was excellent, enabling us to easily visit vik, the geysir, pingvellir etc and with a few tips from pall we found some pretty decent restaurants too. A great trip and the perfect host and holiday rental. Would definitely recommend Thanks pall.

Cottage Hóll is a wonderful place to stay at while visiting Iceland. It is a great location for visiting Reyk, all of the sights in the golden circle and southern Iceland. We would definitely stay again. Páll is an amazing and attentive host. Great communication before the trip, waiting for us at the airport upon arrival, with a GPS and local cell phone for our use the entire stay which was a huge help! Any issue that came up he was spot on to rectify. Including a trip to the cottage during the week to get the hot tub running for us. The cottage itself is cozy and comfortable. The furniture is comfortable, the beds are great. Plenty of pillows and blankets. Every appliance and dish you could possibly need in the kitchen, which was a huge plus. The hot tub is warm and relaxing after a long day of sight seeing. And a wonderful place to catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights. The shower is fantastic, hot and great water pressure! The only issue we had all week, is that the washer/dryer combo does not work well. It is advertised to have both, but I would plan on just having a washer, and hanging your things to dry. We did not plan on this as we thought we had a dryer....so with 4 people and 6 bath towels in the cottage, we could not fully dry them after washing. Not a big deal, we worked it out and just hung them, but wanted to warn others that were banking on a dryer. Overall Cottage Hóll is a super choice for your vacation homebase, and Páll will ensure that you have a fantastic trip. I would not hesitate to stay again, and we hope to do some in the summer season sometime! Thank you!!!
