Strandhaus an der Chesapeake Bay!

Neues Mietobjekt in Chesapeake Bay, VA, nur 1 Stunde von Richmond und 2 Stunden von Charlottesville entfernt!

Professionell geführte Luxusresidenz auf einem 7 Hektar großen Grundstück mit Zugang zu beiden Seiten zum Wasser, einem privaten weißen Sandstrand und Panoramablick auf das Wasser. Das 1800 qm große Haus verfügt über drei Schlafzimmer, eine offene Küche / LR / DR mit außergewöhnlichem Blick auf das Wasser mit Blick auf Milford Haven und die Chesapeake Bay.

Gut ausgestattet für bis zu 8 Gäste, mit 3 Schlafzimmern, bestehend aus einem King-Size-Bett, zwei Queens-Size-Betten und einem Twin-Size-Bett über der vollen Koje sowie zwei kompletten Badezimmern mit Außendusche. Mit viel Liebe zum Detail wurde die Küche des Gourmetkochs mit professionellem Besteck und Kochgeschirr ausgestattet. Zusätzlich gibt es einen 5-Flammen-Gasgrill zum Grillen und eine große Feuerstelle zum Kochen von Krabbentöpfen oder einfach zum Schmoren.

Das Wasser rund um das Anwesen ist sehr warm und flach, mit weißem Sand unter den Füßen und normalerweise sehr ruhig - ideal für StandUp-Paddleboarding, Kajakfahren oder einfach zum Faulenzen mit den Kindern.

Mit zwei neu gebauten Pfeilern, die sich über das Grundstück erstrecken und an deren Enden jeweils ein Deck angebracht ist, gibt es zahlreiche Bereiche, in denen Sie am Wasser sitzen und sich entspannen können, wo Sie gelegentlich Schoten von Tümmlern beobachten können, die vorbeischwimmen. Die Gegend hat unglaubliche Angelmöglichkeiten für Striper und Croaker sowie jede Menge Blue Crab und lokale Austern buchstäblich im Hinterhof.

Liebhaber von Meeresfrüchten müssen sich jedoch keine Sorgen um den eigenen Fang machen, da es einen örtlichen Fischhändler gibt, der an den Wochenenden in der Innenstadt von Mathews (8 km entfernt) alles verkauft, was Sie sich von seinem Wohnwagen am Straßenrand wünschen können. Ebenfalls in Mathews finden Sie einen Food Lion und eine Vielzahl von Restaurants und gastronomischen Einrichtungen, die von lässig wie die Pizza im Southwind bis zu gehobenem Essen im White Dog Bistro reichen.

Beautiful, tranquil retreat that’s well-stocked!
We have stayed at numerous VRBO properties, but this was one of the best. Unlike some other houses, this host has stocked many items for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Especially in the kitchen, there were numerous staples provided for those who forgot or were unprepared. Games and activities abound, both inside and out. The only frustration was with all the remotes to the TV. Never did figure out the Bose speakers so just used the TV speakers. But we rate this a 10-star home:-).

Absolutely Wonderful!
This property completely exceeded my expectations. The description of the property truly doesn't do it justice. It was one of the best equipped rental homes I've ever stayed in. The attention to detail throughout the property was impeccable. I loved that even though it felt remote enough to feel exclusive, it was still close to everything I needed. Quiet and Relaxing
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. Mike came to our rescue when the place we initially booked canceled our stay last minute. We were fortunate to be able to stay at his place. It was very quiet and set off the beaten path. We enjoyed an abundance of wildlife-osprey trying to chase away eagles. We were leaving for dinner one night and unfortunately had to scare away the doe with 2 fawns and the 4 rabbits in the yard. Having coffee or a glass of wine on the deck over looking the water was great too. Mike was very responsive with any questions we had. The house is well stocked with everything you need and more. We wish we could have stayed longer.

The house had everything we needed for a great week away. We really didn’t need to bring anything besides our clothes and personal things. There were even spare phone chargers and flashlights. The kitchen is very well-equipped and we enjoyed several fresh seafood meals at the house. The view is the best part, though, and watching the sunrise from the deck was my favorite thing. We rented kayaks and paddle boards and the teens enjoyed them a lot but we probably would have been fine with a one day rental as opposed to the whole week as we took several day trips away from the house to Haven Beach and Williamsburg and Jamestown and antiquing. Hole in the Wall was a great spot for dinner. Two of us enjoyed a chartered fishing trip and caught lots of Spanish Mackerel. This was the first time the guide didn’t clean the fish though, and that was a pain to do ourselves especially since the price of the charter was equal or higher than what we usually pay with fish-cleaning included. But we had everything we needed to do the job at the house. The mosquitos weren’t a problem. There were a few as expected in a marshy area but it wasn’t nearly as bad as I feared they would be. We definitely had a great time and hope to come back.

Views, activities and comfort
Overall we had a fabulous time! The house is beautiful, clean and has wonderful views. The porch screens had a few holes and couldn't get the ceiling fans to work, but didn’t stop us from enjoying a morning cup of coffee, just might have stayed longer if no bugs and a breeze. We loved the large umbrella on the back dock! We think the other doc could use one just like it (wink wink) but we all had a blast, fishing, crabbing, kayaking, swimming and wakeboarding. Bring your bug spray, the mosquitoes are ruthless but leave the rest at home, this place has it all. We can tell you have put a lot of love and work into the house. Thank you for sharing it with us! We would love to return someday.

This place was amazing. The house was fully stocked with everything you could need and very clean. The view was incredible and I will be staying again! Only negative was the beach was smaller than expected and didn’t fit our family, and mosquitos were quite relentless though we did expect them due to the marsh. Overall a wonderful house and host. Incredible accommodations, beautiful location with the bay on both sides. Impeccably decorated and extremely clean interior, welcoming atmosphere with full kitchen amenities, necessities all provided (towels, etc.) Powerful and accurate air conditioning/heating and medical-grade air purifier meant that we were always comfortable indoors. Beds were very good, and we as a family often find it difficult to sleep on vacation, we slept great! House, grounds, location, and view were what we hoped for and got. House was well appointed and tasteful with the latest appliances and electronics well as having comfortable furniture arranged appropriately. Water view from large interior windows and elevated deck was wonderful and spectacular in the evening at sunset. Pampas grass, outdoor seating, and walkways were pleasing and orderly. Walk to boat dock was a little long but we grew to enjoy the walk over the salt marsh to the boat dock, In other words everything was just right.

Three Days at the River
This is a beautiful home well stocked with all your needs. You have access to both sides of the peninsula on sturdy walkways. The deck on the water is just right and has good shade. There is a nice yard and plenty of room on all outdoor decks and screen porches. We stayed outside all day and then had a fire in the pit at night - wood provided in the garage. One morning at six, the sun sat red on the horizon turning the water gold. I stood on the river deck as five dolphin made their way from up river back to the bay. Mesmerizing,

Fantastic Getaway on the Bay
We had such a wonderful time staying at this house and wish we could have stayed longer! The house itself was so comfortable and had an open plan layout that we loved, and the views of the bay were amazing. We loved sitting on the deck for meals and admiring the views, and we had a lot of fun looking for crabs and other wildlife. This was one of favorite vacations we have ever had. The house was beautiful and well stocked. The water was warm with a sandy bottom. Our kids played in the water from daylight to dark. We fished from the pier and got a bit with every cast. The area was not commercialized and it was like we were the only people there for the whole week.
