We were celebrating two family members birthdays and to do so 3 generations of the family stayed. 6 adults and 3 children.
The house is huge and with 6 en-suite bedrooms and a bathroom (accessed via a baronial staircase), downstairs loo and laundry room (with an Aunt Sally!), a large lounge, kitchen and further reception room, and large dining room, there was space to be together and apart. The kitchen was well equipped with an American style fridge freezer and a separate fridge (beer!), dishwasher and cooking range, and outside was a large gas barbecue. Bedding and towels were provided, as was a welcome jam and cream for lovely scones.
The tvs in every room were welcomed (by the children) as was the Wi-Fi (welcomed by the adults).
Access from the road to the building was more problematic with a steep tight hairpin bend, but practise made perfect as they say. The rear garden was really only useable to access the footpath into the surrounding hills and although I didn’t make use of it the younger contingent and dog did, and they said views were worth the effort.
All in all a very successful stay and I’d recommend the place for families or groups of friends.
Our host, Helen, kept in touch and was ready for any problems (of which there were none!).
