I travel frequently from the Indianapolis airport. If I have an early flight I prefer to stay at a hotel close to the airport where I can leave my car for the duration of the trip and use an airport shuttle. I chose the Courtyard for my most recent trip.The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and just what you would expect from a Marriott. It went downhill with the shuttle. We used the hotel shuttle for an early morning flight. The shuttle driver was surly and unfriendly. Okay, it was 4am and not everyone is a morning person. We were out of the country for our trip and returned to the airport after a very long trip home, with flights totaling 22 hours, not including layover times. To say we were exhausted when we returned is an understatement. It was 12:30 am when I called the hotel to let them know we were ready to be picked up. The person I talked to was very friendly. After 50 minutes of waiting I called the hotel again and was assured that the shuttle was close and would be there in three minutes. Ten minutes later the same surly driver arrived that had taken us to the airport. By this time it's 1:30am and I'm beyond exhausted and just wanted to get home. I sarcastically said, "Heavy traffic?" He replied, "Well I had to have time to drive here, didn't I?". No apology for the long wait. We loaded most of our luggage ourselves. He didn't open our door for us, just got in his side and waited.
