Cute, comfy, plenty of space inside and out. Well-outfitted kitchen and all was very clean.
Short walk to downtown and Jacksonville Woods, market and a couple of good restaurants nearby. (Really enjoyed breakfast at Pony Espresso.)
Outstanding garden / yard surrounds the cottage, which we didn't expect. We spent a lot of time hanging out in the yard.
(Too) friendly family of deer were in the back when we arrived, which required some maneuvering since we had a dog with us and didn't want to shoo them onto busy Fifth Street.
And, speaking of Fifth – it is a busy road. But the cottage is set back and is both private and quiet. Not sure what it would be like in the summer, but it could hardly have been a more restful visit in October.
If you're bringing more than one car and neither is compact, note that the parking is a tad bit tight. One car would be perfect, two is doable, three would be an adventure to get in and out.
Host was helpful and responsive. Thank you!
