Summer 2024 Family Vacation
I don't know where to begin. Before we even stepped foot in this gorgeous home we had wonderful communication with Dawn. Three generations of my family had an amazing time. There was plenty of space and things to do at this property. The views were breathtaking. Five stars are not enough!!!!!

Watts Family Vacation
Overlook Lodge was absolutely fabulous! The home exceeded our expectations and was even more spectacular than the pictures. Our family of 13 had a wonderful time despite Hurricane Debby. There are so many games and activities for everyone of all ages. Dawn's communication was stellar and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. She is beyond exceptional as a host. Looking forward to booking another trip to Overlook Lodge soon.

Amazing!
We had our annual family reunion at Overlook Lodge and it was absolutely perfect. We had 7 kids + 7 adults and all fit comfortably. The game room, back porch, and outdoor green space were especially loved. Dawn was a fantastic, responsive host. We plan on coming back!

Amazing family vacation for 18
Excellent getaway for large family reunions. Breathtaking mountain view from spacious porches. Beautiful new house interior. So much for everyone to do: foosball, mini-pool, ping-pong, basketball, pickleball, putting green, hide and seek, hot tub, etc. Huge TVs and couches for some to watch COPA soccer and some the Orioles!!! Tennis courts and soccer field, hiking and boating and swimming 20 min away. Great carry out food close by. Oh, and enough kitchen and laundry equipment and beds for our large group! Owner Dawn was super responsive to our texts. A wonderful, relaxing stay to help us reconnect and build more great memories.

Perfect place
We were a party of 15 people ranging from toddlers to grandparents, including someone in a wheelchair. The house was perfect. The amenities were well thought out and amazing - from sheets to towels to firewood to kitchen amenities - we were impressed. The views were beautiful and the hostess was extremely attentive and helpful - and it was clear how much she cared that we enjoy our stay! I was so impressed and grateful. 5+ stars.

Relaxing Oasis and Family Fun
We are so happy we found this beautiful gem! The Overlook was the perfect place for our 17-person family gathering. Our ages ranged from 1 to 74 and every one of us had a wonderful time. The house is exceptionally clean and had everything we needed for our large breakfasts and dinners together. The home is in the most beautiful location creating a relaxing oasis from the daily grind. Dawn, the hostess, was amazing! She contacted me a week prior to our trip to give us recommendations for things to do in Raystown. She genuinely cared about our family having the best trip possible. We can’t wait to go back! Thank you, Dawn!

Beautiful Property with gorgeous view
If you are a group of 3-4 families with kids and looking for a perfect stay on hill top with gorgeous view of lush mountain and lake and with ample amenities kids fun and adults engagement, look no further. Host, Dawn, is super nice and very responsive. Everything is very well organized, perfectly communicated and necessary signs are everywhere on the wall, just where you need them. Basement is so well thought out for kids. It has kids bedroom with bunk beds, big tv with sofa, bathroom, and ample games such as indoor basket ball, ping pong, mini pool, board games etc. Kids were by themselves all day long having a blast in the basement and came upstairs only during eating. Adults have hot tub, grilling, fire pit etc. Plus sprawling view of the mountain from the balconies and bedrooms were phenomenal. It was just perfect for our trip.

Best VRBO Experience Ever
The location, property, conveniences, amenities, and especially the hosts, were the very best!! Ten stars out of a five star rating system!! House was warm and comfortably inviting. Like the mountains? You're on top of one here! Want to sit and rest, try the outdoor deck and absorb the silence and the glory of creation! Looking for activity, there's lots to do nearby! MUST STAY IF YOU ENJOY GREAT VIEWS
First off, the host DAWN is A+. She was very responsive and always available for any questions or concerns. The home itself was very welcoming and quite frankly amazing! The views are stunning, and the sunrises/sunsets exceeded our expectations. The large dining table made it easy for everyone to sit together for a huge Thanksgiving feast. In addition, there is a small table for the toddlers which made them feel equally as important. Will definitely come back to this piece of paradise.

We really enjoyed our stay and experience at Overlook Lodge! We had a large group that still fit very comfortably in the kitchen and living room area when we had group discussions. Annual Family Getaway
Absolutely stunning place to stay, we had all my siblings and my parents and nieces and nephews which total to 17 people and there was lots of space. A well thought designed cabin. We always love going to seven points beach and Tatman run beach is a good spot too. Dawn the host was very quick to response to any questions. Everything A+ about this place and we always love going to raystown lake.

Over the Top at Overlook
We had an amazing vacation at this magnificent property. If you are looking for a perfect paradise- this is the spot! Beautiful sunrises & sunsets, rainbows, Sturgeon Moon, spectacular lake views, wildlife, birds & great clean air. The home is perfect in every way. Enough space to spread out & group space for games, gathering & meals. The kitchen is well stocked - even has plastic tableware for dining Al fresco, and kids plates for fun. Basic condiments are provided along with plastic bags & TP! Washer & Dryer on site - VERY helpful, closet stocked with games and puzzles for all ages. Outdoor games were great for kids. Barbecue grill large enough to cook meals, Firepit overlooking the lake and well stocked with firewood Hosts went out of their way to assist with our boating challenge & checked in with us on arrival & mid week to be sure we did not need anything restocked. I am a die hard Beach & Ocean lover, and I found a different type of tranquility on the lake. We will be returning for sure. Thanks for helping our family to make magnificent memories!

The home is fully equipped with everything you need including some of the most beautiful views of the Lake and surrounding areas! Great Place to stay.
Sits high atop the mountains with a fantastic view of the valley below. Boat launch with picnic tables and beach was 10 minutes away. The lodge is between marker 25 and 26 on the lake. Saw the Proud Mary numerous times going up and down the lake. We were there over the forth of July and watched the fireworks from the lodge. We saw Turkey and Deer. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Perfection
Our family of 18 - four siblings, spouses and adult children with their spouses gathered for the first time since 2020 (after a streak of 15 continuous familiy reunion "camping" trips prior to that).The views and peaceful nature of the spot were almost what we expected although being there in person far exceeded our imagination. Not only was the Lodge functionally terrific (2 refrigerators, bathrooms with great water pressure and hot water, everything needed for smooth food prep in the perfectly stocked kitchen) it was beautifully appointed. The furniture was stunning (the dining room table was a beauty) and the room decor was tastefully quirky and provided a soothing, joyful feel to everyone's experience. We all appreciated the outdoor recreation area for some tough cornhole competition and the multiple outdoor games provided by the Lodge for our enjoyment. At least a few of us felt that we wanted to go home and re-create the firepit - setup AND furniture. Our hostess (and her spouse) went out of her way to make us understand that any questions we had prior to arrival (or during our stay) were welcome and her response time to the few questions we had was exceptional. Truly a beautiful spot well worth a try. We've already started talking about "next time"!

Multi-generational family vacation
This place was perfect!! We had 18 total people ranging from infant to 83 and the place was amazing! Kid friendly, spacious, well kept!! Just overall a really good space for large families! The neighborhood is quiet with an amazing view! Dawn is really great to work with, communicative, and really cares for her guests who stay in her house! Our family had an amazing time and would definitely return for another weekend together!

Celebration of life
Upon arrival noticed immediately the cleanliness of the home, and the care that has been taken to build this beautiful place. Dawn, the owner is amazing and very responsive. She can be very flexible if you have needs for a later check out or an earlier check in. I needed to have some family over after a funeral service and she was very helpful in getting me places to order food and things like that. I highly recommend this place it’s very homey and you will be very comfortable.
