Additional Rules:
1. Pets welcome!
We understand how important our four legged companions are and completely understand that they call dibs on the best seat on the couch!
If you could please use the spare blankets provided in the blanket box to cover the beds and the couch if your pets would like to sit on them. These thick blankets are easier to clean and/or replaceable if accidents were to happen, but unfortunately the bed linen seems to hold on to the pet hair. Pets are allowed on furniture, however, please make use of blankets to cover the couch and the beds to minimise hair and make cleaning of linen easier.
2. The chickens
Our chickens live in the backyard and we ask you to please respect their space. Please do not enter their coop or let them out as they can go missing and become vulnerable to predators. They are very loved and we hope you enjoy their presence! Please do not disturb the chickens and respect their space.
3. Field mice and critters
Since we are in the countryside surrounded by the beautiful national park, there are some elements that are to be expected. An occasional field mouse can slip through the cracks of the old cottage home despite our best efforts to secure all entry and exit points.
Please DO NOT use any baits. Not only is this a horrible death for the little mouse, but secondary poisoning of our beloved pets and wildlife can also have dreadful consequences. We have provided tightly sealed containers for your food storage and we ask you to please wash away all dishes post meals so that no crumbs are left behind to entice unwanted visitors into the house.
4. Please respect the neighbours and turn off music post 10 pm.
5. Please ensure you lock both the backyard and the front doors upon your exit. If you have a dog, please ensure that the backyard gates remain close as some neighbourhood dogs like to wander in.
