Take the road less travelled when you stay in the quiet seclusion of Villa Clasa, nestled in nature on the north coast of the Croatian island of Hvar, in the azure waters of the Adriatic Sea. Villa Clasa is in the picturesque village of Vrboska, overlooking the dramatic Dalmatian coast and boasting its own private beach. This incredible architect-designed villa has four spacious ensuite double bedrooms and can comfortably accommodate up to eight guests in some style.
A holiday at Villa Clasa would be ideal for a large family gathering or a friends’ get-together. This one-storey, seriously impressive, six hundred square metre villa is constructed almost entirely of floor-to-ceiling glass, with metal strut surrounds and a flat white roof. The villa is flooded with natural light, and the picture windows reward the guest with uninterrupted views of the natural landscape. The property has private parking, complimentary air conditioning, and Starlink Wi-Fi. The interiors are uber stylish, furnished with contemporary designer pieces, modern art and artefacts, funky lighting, and decorated in a sophisticated colour palette of crisp, clean, sharp whites, with contrasting muted shades of grey and soft blues.
Walk through the woods, and enter Villa Clasa, where you will be welcomed into a vast, light, airy, open-plan living space with doors that open onto nature-view furnished terraces. The seating area has an L-shaped, pale blue, squishy sofa with an end piece chaise longue, wrought wood and upholstered armchairs, cushion seating, coffee tables, an enormous flat-screen satellite television, and a suspended wood burning fireplace, fabulous for those cooler months and evenings. There is a fourteen-seater pale pink and metal dining table with upholstered iron grey and mustard seats, and bench seating, which would make for some splendid indoor entertaining. The sleek gunmetal grey and stainless steel kitchen is fully equipped with state-of-the-art built-in appliances, including a family-size, American-style fridge freezer, a must-have wine fridge, and a preparation island with bar stools to enjoy breakfast. A guest cloakroom completes the living space.
Leading off from the living space are four superbly-appointed double bedrooms. Each bedroom has a king-size bed, open wardrobes, exquisite ensuite bathrooms with walk-in showers, and sliding doors that open onto terraces, furnished with colonial-style, rattan seating sets and expansive views of nature. Take the well-worn path down to the villa’s private beach, where you can sunbathe and swim in the warm waters of the Adriatic Sea. At sunset, dine alfresco with local delicacies freshly grilled on the barbecue, and as the stars come out to shine, raise a glass or two to the most unique and memorable holiday.

Location:
Villa Clasa is a secluded hideaway, snuggled into the hillside, surrounded by nature, near the picturesque village of Vrboska, on the north coast of the Croatian island of Hvar, in the azure waters of the Adriatic Sea. The nearest international airport is Split. From there, take a taxi or bus to the port, jump on the ferry to Hvar, and then a thirty-minute diagonal drive across the width of the island will take you to your holiday home.
The tiny fifteenth-century fishing port of Vrboska is a kilometre and a half from the villa. In the village, you will find shops and stores with provisions for your holiday, cafes, bars, and restaurants, a sixteenth-century church with stunning sea views, a seventeenth-century Baroque church with five altars, and the Fisherman’s Museum. Vrboska is sometimes called Little Venice, with its narrow curving fjords and charming bridges. Shady pine trees surround it, and it has several beaches, sports facilities, and a bay and marina, where you might spot a super yacht. The nearest beach is fifty metres from the villa. Take the path down to your private seashore, with immediate access to the calm waters of the Adriatic Sea.
The coastline is populated with beautiful beaches, sandier to the north and fine gravel to the south, with the most popular hot spots on the Pakleni Islands of the archipelago near Hvar town. Near Vrboska is a naturist beach with lots of hidden coves for privacy. The fourteenth-century resort and port town of Jelsa is only four kilometres from the villa, and it has a beach surrounded by pine trees and a lively nightlife. Dine out at the nearby village of Pitve, renowned for its fabulous freshly caught fish.
Six kilometres east is the must-see town of Stari Grad, one of the oldest settlements in Europe, with a beautiful blue bay, ancient churches, laid-back cafes and restaurants, and the famous field of Pharos, with vineyards and olive groves. The adjacent 4BC UNESCO World Heritage Site of Stari Grad Plain is an agricultural landscape developed by ancient Greek colonists and is still in use. The thirteenth-century town of Hvar is the largest of the island, a bustling resort with lots of beaches, ancient walls and friendly squares, a hilltop fortress, a Renaissance cathedral, a busy harbour, and excellent after-dark entertainment.
Visit the local villages, such as Milna, with four beaches, fish restaurants, homemade olive oil, and local wine; Dubovica, with its horseshoe bay; and the scenic rocky settlement of Zarace, great for snorkelling. Make time for a boat trip around the island, and spend the day sunbathing and swimming, discovering hidden bays and secret coves, then watch the sunset as you sail back into the harbour.
