First time stay at this hotel. First impressions are always formed from the exterior followed by a hotel lobby. With Shuanglong Plaza, it's most unimpressive exterior, entrance and then the lobby gives one the unfortunate thought "Oh, oh, what al I getting myself into!". Definitely has gone past it's use by date. Check in/out was however, pleasant. We were given a room on the 9th. floor. Room was very generous, with 2 double beds, bathrobes, nice towels, slippers, TV with only 1 English channel, safe, bar fridge that was not cooling, kettle with 2 tea bags, glasses instead of cups, and minimal bath amenities. To fill up the space, a large L sofa, desk/chair and reading lamp. Poor lighting, air conditioning, and sound insulation. Housekeeping was the saving grace of staying here, but not enough to overcome the dated condition of everything else. The best part of the included breakfast were the hard boiled eggs, and here I am really being generous. Won't be back.....
