„When I think of primitive I think of a tent and sleeping bags and a trip to outhouses or a private spot to do your business. Cabins in a Clearing is a step up; though the bathroom arrangements are as described above. There are porta potties but quite away from two of the three cabins. That isn't fun. „Michelle was an excellent host. She was very friendly and talked to us each day we were there. Just so you know, this is a cabin. There is no running water or toilet. There is a shower house and port a john. Both were very clean and we really enjoyed the cabin itself. „The home was built in late 1800's. We loved the charm of it. It has the wear of an older home, but it was cozy, the room we stayed in was one of the small ones, with a full bath. for a night or two stay, it is nice. access to the living room with a cd player, coffee machine in the dining room with a large table for breakfast guests. Books and games available. The breakfast was buffet style, served by a pleasant staff. I would definitely go back. It's a nice short walk to town in 5 minutes.“

„Overall we had a nice stay. Clean, quiet and nice location in the small town of Nelsonville. Only comment on advice related to breakfast is get there when it's planned to start as there's a set amount of food and that is it. „If you’re desperate and need a place to park, there’s a good slab of cement for you. People definitely permanently live here in their campers too, and their arms length away from your spot, so be prepared to make some friends….the owner stopped replying to me so they don’t get a great review. I was looking for a place to camp, not a place to park, so please if you’re looking for the same thing, this is not it. I arrived, laughed, and left. Didn’t even get out of my car.“

„The house itself was good equipped and lovely decorated. We enjoyed the front porch and the short walk to the surrounding restaurants and businesses. Everything is in walking distance.
