Beautifully renovated Vanderhorst Plantation home overlooking the 4th hole of the Turtle Point Golf Course by Jack Nicklaus.

This beautiful home is located just 500 yards from the beach, a 7 minute walk or short 2 minute bike ride to the ocean, directly down the famed "Alley of Oaks".

This 8 bedroom, 6.5 bathroom luxury island vacation home offers nearly 4,500 sq ft of living space for large groups. A gourmet kitchen and open deck overlooks the golf course and your own private saltwater pool!

Enter to the open living area with flat screen TV and access to the deck and pool area. The gourmet kitchen is well appointed and offers plenty of counter space for entertaining and preparing large family meals. It opens to the living area and dining room with counter seating, Keurig coffee maker and wet bar/wine chiller.

Down the hall to the left of the entry you will find 2 bedrooms with king beds. The first bedroom shares a full bath with the hall and offers access to the deck/pool area. The master bedroom is just beyond with a king bed, flat screen TV and master bath with his & her sinks, Jacuzzi tub and stand up shower. There is a 3rd first floor bedroom with 2 twin beds. The two beds can also be combined into a king.

The 2nd floor is split into two levels and offers a half bath, recreation room with wet bar, beverage fridge, two bunkbeds (full size on bottom/twin size on top), a sectional sofa, and large flat screen TV. A twin bedroom is also located on this level with a private bath and stand up shower. Take another half flight of stairs and you will find 3 more bedrooms, all with full private baths. Two bedrooms offer 2 queen beds per room with private baths and tub/shower combos. The other bedroom offers a king bed with tub/shower combo.

Wonderful house. Spacious and very comfortable. The outside of the property needed some attention, lots of debris in the driveway but there was a blower available in the garage. Need to upgrade towels and pillows.

Great family gathering place
We had a mini family reunion at this house and we couldn’t have found a more perfect location! It was nestled on a beautiful golf course hole, but was an incredibly quick bike ride and walk to the beach. (Boardwalk 32). We also were able to bike over to The Nest bakery and market and the park with ease. It was a short bike ride to the tennis club for tennis and pickleball. It was in a great location. The amount of bedrooms and layout of the house worked perfectly for my family with 5 kids, my sister’s family with 4 kids, and my parents (15 total) to all meet up and enjoy a fun week together with beds to spare. There are plenty of bathrooms and showers for the size of the house as well. It is conveniently located near Charleston also, so we were able to get in and enjoy the city as well. The property owner was incredibly responsive and took amazing care of our group the whole time we were there! He gave great suggestions of places to book activities as well as restaurants, etc. Everything about this property was lovely! Thanks for the great home to enjoy all Kiawah has to offer.

Great for groups...
There were 16 of us here for a family wedding and the house worked out very well for all of us (ranging in ages 21-90). The location is terrific! We didn't really have time to use the small pool or beach toys, or grill outdoors, but it was a great home-base for us during our busy weekend. Thanks.

Home was not totally clean. Pillows on beds were the cheapest you can buy. Home hadn’t been treated for bugs in awhile. We saw over 50 cockroaches while we were there lots and lots of millipedes. Couple towel bars were falling off wall. The pool was not cleaned or treated. So, we could not use it until the manager finally got a pool service out there. But, by then, there were only two days left in our trip and we stayed for a week. We were credited a rebate for the inconvenience but it was only $450. We paid $14,000 to stay there. Very frustrating. The pool was a big reason for selecting this home.

We had 16 extended family members (ages 1 - 70s) stay in this home, and it worked wonderfully for us! It's a short bike ride / walk from the beach in a beautiful neighborhood with easy access to Kiawah's great bike trail network. Having the pool and large living space for shared family time was great. I large wagon in the garage made it easy to shuttle beach gear to the beach. We would definitely stay here again!

Great property for a family
This house was great for our family with multiple bedroom configurations which worked well for our children and grandchildren. The kitchen was well equipped and the extra refrigerator very helpful. The grill worked well. The pool was fun when some kids were tired of the beach. The property manager was quick to address any issues.. We look forward to our next stay here.

Fantastic property and great host!
Scott’s house was perfect for a group of friends attending a wedding on the island. We booked more than a year in advance and Scott was extremely responsive and communicative throughout. We had a great stay at his property. It is in a central part of the island with quick access to the courses, the beaches, and Freshfields village. The home itself is quite large and spacious and was perfect for a group mixed with some couples and some singles. Plenty of space and bathrooms. Thanks Scott!

The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, glasses, pots, pans, etc. Communication was really good and check in/check out were a breeze! Great house with room for all!
If you've got a large group of family or friends, it's hard to beat this property in Kiawah! There were 18 of us and we still didn't use all the bedrooms. Quick 5-minute walk to the beach. Nice pool area. Kitchen nice and open, easy to cook for large groups. Loved it!
