Unsere luxuriöse Ferienwohnung am Meer im schönen Kihei Surfside Resort in Kihei, Maui, ist nur wenige Schritte vom Meer entfernt und bietet Schildkröten, Delfine und saisonale (Dezember-April) Walbeobachtung sowie spektakuläre Maui-Sonnenuntergänge das ganze Jahr über. Einer unserer liebsten vergangenen Zeiten trinkt unseren Morgenkaffee auf dem Rasen und beobachtet die Meeresschildkröten, die im Wasser vor dem Gebäude schwimmen. Der felsige Strand bietet ein ausgezeichnetes Schnorcheln, am besten vom wunderschönen goldenen Sand des Strandes Keawakapu, einem der besten Strände von Maui, nur wenige Schritte hinter dem benachbarten Mana Kai Resort. Ein General Store und das gefeierte Five Palms Restaurant sind auch im Mana Kai erhältlich.

Eine 5-minütige Fahrt bringt Sie zu allen Geschäften und Restaurants der Stadt Kihei oder der Geschäfte bei Wailea. Die Wohnung befindet sich am Ende einer langen Zufahrt von S. Kihei Straße, so dass Sie nicht hören, die Verkehrslärm - nur die Ozean Wellen.

Unser Gebäude, die Kihei Surfside, hat keine Klimaanlage. Wir sind direkt am Meer und die Pazifik-Passatwinde blasen direkt am Meer jeden Nachmittag. Diese Passatwinde, zusammen mit Deckenventilatoren in den Wohn- und Schlafzimmern, halten die Wohnung bequem für die meisten Leute. Perfect Getaway
This was a perfect choice for our 3-week trip to Maui! Clean and well-kept with so many good points:Great ocean view, both from inside and from the balcony.Second-floor location: more private than ground floor, but only one flight up if you take the stairs. Modern kitchen has all the useful appliances and dining ware, and a convenient island. The bathroom has plenty of places to hang towels, washcloths, and swimsuits. Lots of beach and bath towels provided, even black makeup removal cloths. There were even a good pair of binoculars that we used for whale-watching, and a yoga mat! The bed is comfortable and the bedroom has a quiet air conditioner.The HD TV and Spectrum cable provide access to cable channels and streaming apps (using your own streaming app accounts).This condo is a very comfortable size for a couple. There’s a good pull-out sofa bed in the living room area, but someone sleeping there would not have air conditioning or much privacy, so maybe best for families with kids who wouldn’t mind this.The small but nice pool was never crowded when we were there. Lawn area has a 9-hole putting green, barbecue area, and chaise longue chairs. Pay laundry on-site, and across the parking lot is a well-stocked convenience store. It’s just steps from a good snorkeling and swimming beach to the south, and a boat ramp from which snorkel and whale tours leave to the north. Last but not least, the owners, Connie and Steve, are awesome and responsive.

We stayed at the Kihei Surfside for 8 nights. Everything was great. From quick responsive communication to a nice clean well equipped condo. We’ve stayed at the Kihei Surfside before because we like the location with the grassy park and the easy access to the beach. It’s always very quiet. Wonderful spot!
We've stayed at this property 4 times because we love the location of the condo itself and the surrounding area... mile long beautiful beach and the great snorkeling. I saw at least one turtle every time I snorkeled. The Kihei Surfiside is quiet, beautiful grassy area, and a wonderful view of the sunsets. The owners are responsive to questions and strive to make the stay as pleasant as possible. I highly recommend this property and will stay there every time I'm in Maui.

Amazing location and such great views
My wife and I stayed here for our first visit to Hawai’i and it was absolutely perfect. The views are just as advertised, if not better. The unit was clean, tidy and well organized. Everything needed to cook was included which made it great to save some dining out costs by making breakfast for ourselves while enjoying some coffee on the balcony. At night the sunset over the park is amazing, lounge chairs are provided and you can bring down a glass of wine and just relax. Walking access to long trails stretching both north and south made for a perfect way to start the day as well. Would absolutely recommend staying here.

We really enjoyed our stay! There was a beautiful welcome basket that helped set the tone for our vacation. We loved the location right on the ocean with beautiful views of the sunset and migrating whales. We loved that we could walk to so many places for a bite to eat. Wonderful first trip to Maui.
Your place was wonderful. The location was great and allowed for perfect sunset views. Walking distance to the Kihei boat launch for tours and access to the walking trail along the coast down to the park. Many mornings were spent just watching the whales from the balcony. We greatly enjoyed how well stocked the unit was and being able to use the building laundry. Thank you for the welcome bag; it added a special touch. We did not know what to expect but our experience was amazing. The grounds are maintained like a golf course green. The views from the balcony and the grounds themselves of islands, ocean and absolutely spectacular Hawaiian sunsets are worth the price alone. The room was clean and having the kitchenette for us was great. The condo owners were easy to contact and helped make this trip wonderful. We got married the week we were there and this place offers some of the most amazing picture oppurtunities of anywhere we have been. It does not offer a sand beach right on the property but there are more beaches than you can possibly need within walking distance. Maui stay not stay due to fire
Unfortunately we didn't get to make our trip to this beautiful property due to the Maui fire, but we want to express our deepest appreciation to the owners as they made a stressful unfortunate unforseen event less stressful. We turned on the news the day before we were scheduled for our 5 day vacation to find that Maui was on fire and although it wasnt in the area where we were staying the owners were quick to call us and without any hesitation they IMMEDIATELY refunded our money. We will definitely stay at this property at a later time as they are kind and considerate. We give them a 5 star rating. Thank you once again!

WOW!!!
And I mean WOW!!! While WOW is an understatement!! This was our first trip to the islands. And let me just say… Steve and Connie made it AMAZING. Both my wife and myself read through the previous reviews… and I can say this… we echo the comments of it being incredible. There was one review about it being “motel-esque”. If your goal is to come to the islands and stay in your room majority of your trip… this is not for you. Steve and Connie’s condo is perfect for a couple (even a family of 3-4). This condo came with EVERYTHING and more. They made this VRBO complete and fun. From beach towels and snorkeling gear to a cooler and beach chairs for the day or evening. The best part of this rental… was working with Steve and Connie. They were always available to make sure everything was better than okay. As for the scenery… this condo is located 5 min south of the tourist area… so its QUIET!! Now if waking to roasters, birds, palm branches chatting, and the ocean waves would bother you.. don’t come here!! 😎 The morning walks with the sunrise and ocean waves (and of course coffee in hand) was so relaxing. Laying on the beach (1-2 min walk from the condo) in the afternoon (and of course with a glass of wine) was incredible. And finally… pool time, grill time, and partaking in the sunset ritual every evening was PRICELESS!! The conch shells blowing up and down the beach line and the orange, red, and green colors of the sun setting… lets just say.. WOW!!

Our stay in paradise!
My wife and I are retired. This unit was perfect for us. We've rented VRBO's in Canada, the US, and Europe and Steve was the best host we've dealt with. So helpful, informative, and quick to respond. The unit was clean and very well equipped with modern appliances and furniture. The king size bed was very cozy. The view from the lanai was fantastic overlooking a huge green space with palm trees, the pool and the ocean. The sound of the waves hitting the shore was music all day and soothing at night. Steve's unit is angled perfectly so the sun lights up the edge of the lanai through the day but doesn't blare straight into the unit. It never gets too hot. Windows at the back of the unit allow a cool breeze through the unit either from the ocean, or down from the mountains all day and night. Kihei Surf is meticulously maintained with friendly and helpful staff. Keawakapu beach is just a few steps away and has excellent snorkeling and miles of beautiful uncrowded sandy beach. So many turtles. This area of Kihei is past the very busy beaches and streets of Kameole beaches1, 2, and 3. Very quiet. No road noise. Easy access to the many wonderful and uncrowded beaches in Wailea. We found groceries etc on Maui to be incredibly expensive. Upon arrival, stock up in Costco for the best prices on Maui. Note they don't take Mastercard. Get a Safeway customer card to access their discounts. Next time in Maui, we'd love to stay there again! Thanks Steve!

Woke to beautiful seascape with whales cresting in distance. Clean charming unit. We understand ac to be installed in bedroom. While fan and windows made it comfortable ac will be welcome. Great lawn for yoga and workout. Steps from turtle resting area. Birdsong (except for early crowing rooster) was lovely,

Surfside is situated in a prime spot in Kihei, close to Wailea. Not on a sandy beach, but only a couple of hundred yards around the corner. The unique thing about Surfside is the enormous and immaculate grass area right outside the building. We enjoyed our 5 days there and the owner, Steve was very prompt in responding to our pairing hooking up with his Marshall sound system. He got hold of Dan, the property manager, who fixed the problem immediately. The apartment is quite small and could do with some upgrades, refreshing and replenishment of some kitchen utensils. Mahalo!
