We knew from our first viewing of the Boathouse that it checked all of our boxes. Location, space, arrangement of space, tranquil setting, and amenities met all of our needs and expectations. "We stayed at the second property on the site, Lavender Lane Cottage, which was a lovely newly refurbished 200 year old cottage. It had three double bedrooms(one upstairs) an open plan kitchen, dining area and living area which was all minimalistic but modern and had every amenity we needed for our stay (Con even left us tea/coffee/bread and milk) We felt at home straightaway and all said we could live there. The bathroom was again modern in an old worldly setting, with plenty of hot water...

"The cottage was clean and charming. It was in an excellent location overlooking country farms and the Oceanside inlet town of Kilkee and near dramatically beautiful cliffs overlooking the Atlantic.
