Our place is a super bright, incredibly clean, excellently appointed oceanfront condo with a view you are sure to love! Literally, a 2 minute walk to the beach! This new rental property will be your "go-to" favorite annual trip location. We really wanted to make sure everyone enjoys our special place as much as we do! Enjoy lazy days on the beach and at the pool, drinks on the deck, and exploring the quaint town of Duck. And BYOC (bring your own charcoal) for a nightly cook out in the courtyard area. So much FUN! We know you'll love Colony by the Sea (CBTS) as much as we do. It's a true gem in the Outer Banks! Ours is a first floor, end unit: no elevator, 2 short flights of stairs (building on pilings). We love to cook and entertain so we have a well-stocked kitchen, including basic spices, EVOO, balsamic vinegar and just about every utensil and baking/cooking tool we could think of. BRING YOUR OWN: paper towels, toilet paper, napkins, towels (bath/beach/dish), sheets, pillows, and blankets. There is a coin laundry room for $2 per load (same for wash or dry) under the building if needed (it is kept very clean). TV sets in living room and bedroom with basic cable and streaming capability.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Lucky Duck! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the owners put a lot of thought and care into creating a comfortable, welcoming space. The condo is impeccably clean and beautifully renovated—everything feels fresh and new. The oceanfront location is unbeatable, with a stunning view that makes every morning feel special. Plus, it’s just a quick 2-minute walk to the beach, so we spent hours enjoying the sand and surf. Beyond the condo itself, the communication with the owners was top-notch. They were incredibly responsive, ensuring that we had everything we needed for a smooth and enjoyable stay. The property is located in a charming, quiet area of Duck, making it the perfect place to unwind and relax. We loved the nearby local shops and restaurants. We love Lucky Duck!
This was our 2nd year staying in the Lucky Duck condo and intend to stay there again next September. It is immaculate and located in a great condo community. Just steps from the beach and pool, the view is beautiful, the kitchen is well stocked with staples like spices and oils, and it is convenient to get to restaurants and shopping in Duck. Hosts are very communicative. I cannot imagine anyone being disappointed with their experience staying in Lucky Duck!

We loved The Lucky Duck!
We had the best week at The Lucky Duck! We’ve stayed at a few condo’s in the same complex, but The Lucky Duck is by far the BEST one. The condo was spotless with the cutest decorations. The hosts have thought of every single detail to make your stay care-free. We loved the extra beds in the living room, the extra hooks for hanging, the fully stocked kitchen, and the amazing patio furniture complete with the perfect view. The hosts were so friendly, great at communicating, and we can’t thank them enough for sharing their home with us. We are the lucky ones to have found The Lucky Duck. We hope to return to The Lucky Duck next year!

This was our second stay at The Lucky Duck and it did not disappoint. One of the cleanest condos I’ve ever stayed in; Tracy called on the way to the beach to confirm and let me know I could check in early and the new porch on the front with deck chairs, bench and place to hang your towels is functional and a great place to leave all your beach bags, towels, and boogie boards. Highly recommend!! Can’t wait to go back

Perfect!
My husband and I stayed at Lucky Duck for our honeymoon. The location was perfect -- near lots of great shops and restaurants, 2 minute walk to the beach. The condo was very cozy and clean! The size was perfect for the 2 of us, but you could definitely squeeze in a few more people if you're okay with sleeping in common areas. I appreciated all the little touches. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, cookware, grill supplies, spices, cooling oil, cleaning supplies... pretty much anything you'd need aside from food itself. 4 nice chairs and umbrella were available to use at the beach. The showers were both great! There were also lots of board games and smart TVs for entertainment. Tracey was also a great communicator and host. We'll definitely be coming back in the future.

10/10 HIGHLY recommend! Property Manager is so helpful; Very quick to communicate, help and make you feel welcome. BEAUTIFUL BEACH FRONT condo. Kitchen is stunning and has EVERYTHING you need. We grilled out nightly and ate as a family listening to the ocean on the back balcony. Bathrooms are super clean and the whole place is updated- I am obsessed with the shower tile (simply stunning). Lots of hooks to hang and dry clothing/towel, great storage for bags. Laundry room was right below the unit very convenient. Check in/out process was smooth and easy! Owners left a folder with all sorts of menus and information about the town. I felt so safe walking all around the town of Duck. So much to see and do- and is very walkable! Beach and pool are clean and are only a few steps away! Other owners and employees on the property were SO KIND! Lots of options for TV within the condo, beds were comfortable! I can not say enough about our wonderful stay!

Exceptionally clean, steps from the beach with a view of the ocean from the deck and living room, comfy king bed, 2 full baths, great shower in the primary bath (didn't try the other one), well stocked with the essentials. Lovely beach, great town, walked to and along the boardwalk for restaurants and shops. Tracey (the owner) was available, though we didn't need to call for anything. We highly recommend the Lucky Duck and hope to be back!

Great stay!
This property is clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Our family of three loved this property for its great balcony with ocean views. It was clean and well stocked for cooking if you wanted to but we enjoyed the delicious choices Duck had to offer for meals. A wonderful place to relax and enjoy quiet beach walks.

The Lucky Duck was a Lucky Find!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Lucky Duck!! The condo was beautifully renovated and styled and we were pleased to find 2 full baths! It worked out perfectly for our family of 2 adults and 2 younger children. The convenience to the beach was amazing, as was the location to shopping and restaurants in Duck. The kitchen was well-stocked and made it really feel like a home away from home. We enjoyed many mornings and evenings on the deck listening to the ocean waves. Also, Tracey was so friendly and easy to communicate with. She made the whole experience a breeze. You won’t regret staying here!!

Fantastic property!
This property is exactly as it looks in the photos. Very clean with a fantastic view and just steps from the ocean. The outside property is well taken care of with a nice pool and even a clean public restroom (caretaker cleans it daily) close to the beach so you don't have to drag the sand back into the condo. Every detail was thought of - from a brush to dust off your feet outside the door to an umbrella in case of rain. It was perfect for the two of us but would also work well for a small family. Tracey was a great hostess. We will definitely stay in The Lucky Duck again!!

Great Little Spot To Relax.
The Condo is very clean, has everything you need, and is well updated. The amenities are great. The only down side during our visit was the basketball courts are currently not functional. The pool is great and the rest of the facilities are clean and well maintained. The stay was quiet and the quiet hours and smoking policy is strictly followed which is a plus for everyone. Would definitely recommend for anyone even with chalder.
