Enjoy A/C throughout the entire house. Our newly remodeled 1920's Hawaiian owned and built by my great grandparents, was originally the first house on the hill above Poipu Beach.
Entering Poipu Hale Ohana, you will be stunned with views that overlook Poipu Beach, the South Shore coastline, and on clear days the sight of the Island of Ni'ihau. As well as impressive views of the lush mountain range. Located within a short 5 minute walk to Brenneckes & Poipu Beach. Enjoy ocean and Sunset views from the Living room, Dining, Kitchen and outdoor Gazebo area.

Included with your stay is the use of Poipu Beach Athletic Club and the facilities amenities for up to 9 guest's. Just a short mile drive up the road. You can enjoy their resort-style pool with waterslide and hot tub, workout center, Tennis courts, Pickleball courts, Basketball courts, on-site restaurant with poolside service and much more.

Enjoy the benefit of socializing together or relaxing in private spaces, This home includes 2 separate Entrance units, Upstairs 3 bedroom/1.5 Bathroom. Down stairs, 1 bedroom/1 bathroom. Both units have full kitchens and their own washer and dryer.

The Upstairs of this home has a marvelous large and open living area with comfortable furnishings. Large Flat screen TVs above the fireplace in living and dinning area. Plenty of seating at Island bar, dinning table and breakfast bar with a sizable kitchen well equipped. Each bedroom has a smart flatscreen TV, full size closet, luggage rack, laundry basket, and Dresser. All TVs have Cable, Netflix, Disney+, paramount +, & Hulu.

In addition, we have our li'ili'i (small) downstairs suite. Perfect for couples or friends traveling together as it offers Its own fully equipped Kitchen, Bathroom, and 1 bedroom with a queen bed, and one more perk of an extra twin bed. This originally was a low ceiling space. Renovating and keeping the same structure to our home the ceiling remains low, making it a height of 7ft. This is the perfect bonus space for a couple in the group that prefers their own living space. Both TVs have Cable, Netflix, Disney+, & Hulu.

Take advantage of the properties beach gear. Including, Beach Umbrellas, Chairs, Boogie boards, 2 sets of snorkel gear, Coolers, and Wagon to pack up and walk to the beach.
Within a couple miles there are dozens of appealing restaurants, alluring shops, fascinating outdoor activities and places to sight see.

After a long day of adventuring, rinse off in the outdoor enclosed hot water shower. Just steps from the front door we have our shaded gazebo pavilion with large deck and BBQ grill. Comfortable outdoor sectional couch and dining table to kick back, relax and watch the Sunset.

Excellent stay
If I could give this a 12/10 I would. We were a mixed family of uncles, aunts upstairs and our young adults enjoyed the adjoined space downstairs. Well stocked kitchen, comfy beds, plenty of towels, beach gear, great outdoor patio and all within walking distance to the beach! Great communication with owners. Seriously one of the nicest VRBO we have stayed at. We hope to be back some day!

Fantastic, beautiful renovated property a short walk to the beach. Most fully equipped , well thought out VRBO we’ve ever stayed at. Best Stay EVER
Truly hard to put into words how much we adored Mona’s beautiful home. We are VRBO hosts ourselves and were blown away with how well thought out every single detail in this home is. I’ll start with the location- It is steps from EVERYTHING. We walked to the beach daily, hiking trailheads, amazing dinner spots, etc. Our rental car sat in the driveway for full days as we found we could walk everywhere. Cleanliness- the home is spotless, brand new everything. Absolutely everything worked as it should. It included SO many thoughtful amenities and details- a wagon to take items to the beach, books to read my boys at bedtime, games for our family to play together, snorkel sets and water shoes. Dont look anywhere else in Kauai (we certainly won’t…). This is THE place to stay. We are so grateful to have found this beautiful, special home. Thank you Mona and family!!

We travel a lot and this house was one of the best property’s we have all ever stayed at! Mona was very easy to communicate with and so helpful! Our family of 8 adults had a wonderful 10 night stay at this absolutely beautiful home on Kauai. The house is equipped with everything you need and more, and waking up every morning to the stunning views was just incredible. Mona and Daniel went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect, the best hosts i've ever had. The outdoor gazebo was the family favorite morning coffee to late night relaxing it was the place to be.If you are looking for a home to stay at this is the one.

Stunning home, amazing owner!
This house is the most well-curated, thoughtful, beautiful home I’ve rented on the island. Everything was done with intention, the space is cozy, but spacious with the most incredible views, especially of the sunset. We spent every night and every morning in the gazebo. Not to mention, the hospitality of the owner Mona was above and beyond. She was communicative, quick to respond and attentive. You can tell how much she cares about her renters and the home. Will definitely be staying here again!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay here! The house has a full 180 degree view of the ocean, is located very close to the beach, and very well stocked with all your kitchen needs, baby/toddler needs (Full sized crib with sheet, high chair, booster chair, baby monitor), and beach gear. 30th Anniversary Celebration Trip
My husband and I along with our 4 children and 2 significant others celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary and stayed at the house for 10 days. It exceeded our expectations! Poipu Is Worth the Hype
Our whole family, inclusive of our two young grandkids stayed at this amazing home for ten days. From the moment we entered the home, we felt welcomed and excited to stay in such a gorgeous home with ocean views and a rich family history. It’s spacious and well appointed and a very short walk to the beach where we saw several sea turtles. Great family spot
Mona was fabulous to work with and delightful. The property was spotless and well located for our purposes. The athletic club was close by and fun for our grandkids--just about any game desired was available here. We particularly enjoyed having our meals out in the gazebo. I wish we had booked an extra day or two on this island! Highly recommend this property. (Note: the en-suite bath in the upstairs area has no shower which was noted in the info on the website. This requires working around but was not a problem for us.) Kitchen was the best equipped in any property we have stayed at!!! We are grandparents who took our 7 oldest grandkids to Hawaii for a couple of weeks and this property helped us have a great start to the trip.

Perfect Location
Beautiful home within walking distance to Poipu beach. Views of Poipu beach and sunsets from the kitchen window! This house was appointed with every item you will need when traveling. The beach accessories made this visit easy. The owner also left a beautiful welcome basket of snacks, illustrating her desire to go above and beyond. This is the best home we have rented in 10 years! Memories that Last a Lifetime
I don't know if I can describe the things this house did for us. We are regular Kauai travelers annually for well over a decade. We are very familiar with the island. This is the first time I've tried to incorporate my extended family, including my 75-year old father who was leaving the US for the first time since coming over from Vietnam in the late 1970s. The multiple bedrooms and air conditioning in each room made sure everyone was comfortable, the amenities were modern and updated, and the location was spot on especially if you have little ones, roughly 15-20 minutes from the keiki Brennecke Beach. The Poipu Athletic Club subscription was another requirement of ours, as we would spend our mornings at a public beach and the afternoons enjoying being catered here. More importantly, I don't have if I can describe the memories generated by waking up at 7 AM with that 180 degree up and down the Poipu Beach coastline, or sitting out on the amazing comfortable large gazebo with a homemade dinner with your family as the sun is setting. It is truly a rarity to have the ability to have your extended family under the same roof. In short, I want to thank the owners of this home. There will be a time when the kids are older or my dad won't be with us any longer - but we will still have the memories this home helped us make. Thank you again, these things are priceless.

The property feels like home. They provide brand name amenities for soaps/shampoos/lotions showing that thought and care are put into every detail. I can only give this home and its host (Mona) 12 out of 10 stars! From moment we walked in we were welcomed by a thoughtful message and gift basket! We were blown away by the beauty of this home, its cleanliness and the amenities it came with! Mona was so thoughtful for all of our little needs! The kitchen and pantry were fully stocked and all needed to get were groceries! I was also very happy with the attention to detail with ensuring we had shampoos, conditioner, body was, and especially baby wash for my toddler! I would definitely come back to stay here! Mona was amazing with communication and accommodation! I cannot say enough great things! Thank you for truly making our vacation an ease and comfort with your home!

Perfect Stay For Large Family
What an amazing trip and the perfect home for our family to stay in. This home is basically "brand new" and was without question, the best equipped rental home we have ever stayed at. We stayed with extended family ranging from ages 4-74 and everyone was impressed with the quality and location of this house. My children are already asking when we can book again and return. From dishes, spices, and utensils, to appliances and books/games for the kids, this property had everything needed to make the trip comfortable and fun. The property was in the perfect location and the hosts have done an amazing job renovating this property. We spent most nights outside on the covered patio and was a perfect setting with the seating and lights. Mona was a great host and very accommodating to our requests and genuinely friendly. The house was a short walk to the beach with everything needed (chairs, umbrella, snorkeling, boogie boards) to have a relaxing day at the beach and the outdoor shower was perfect upon returning from the beach. We will definitely try to stay here again when we return.

Incredible Home
We have been staying in the Poipu beach area for more than 20 years. This home is without question the nicest and best equipped place that we have stayed. While technically the home was renovated/remodeled it is actually a new home in every aspect. The placement of the expansive wall of windows allows for a fantastic view of the ocean and the mountains. I love to cook and the kitchen is wonderful with all cooking utensils and equipment needed to prepare three meals a day for our family. The quality of the furnishings including the Weber Grill is top of the line.Our adult daughter loved the privacy afforded by the separate apartment on the lower level. We often used the membership at the Poipu Athletic Club especially the pool. Mona and Daniel are wonderful to deal with and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our 2 week plus stay. We quickly booked for an even longer stay in 2025.

Incredible host, magnificent property
New Clean, bright, comfortable large home with incredible views of the ocean and a quick walk to the ocean/beach. Sunset on the lanai. Whale watching @ lunch. Quiet neighborhood. Interesting history. If you want to cook, this is an excellent place - great pots and pans, ingredients/spices, top quality appliances - everything extremely well maintained. The beds were extremely comfortable and the linens and towels were top quality. This home surpassed all expectations. The host Mona was super helpful and excellent with communication. Whenever someone ask “do you think they have x” the answer was almost always YES! I can’t recommend this place enough.

Amazingly clean, comfortable, and beautiful. The house was immaculately clean, the views are amazing, everything you need is in the kitchen. Beds are comfy, the outdoor shower rocks! Chairs and boogy boards in the garage, big beach towels, and coolers for the beach that is moments away. We loved the gazebo.

The location is absolutely perfect – nestled in the serene beauty of Poipu, we enjoyed the best of both worlds with stunning ocean views and lush greenery. Mornings began with the symphony of tropical birds, and evenings were spent savoring breathtaking sunsets from the lanai and gazebo. The proximity to the beach was a huge plus; we could easily stroll down for a morning swim or a leisurely sunset walk. The spacious living area was ideal for our group, providing ample room to relax and unwind. The kitchen, equipped with top-notch appliances, made whipping up our favorite meals a breeze.
