„The place is located at South Avenue within the ancient city, near to Pingyao South Gate, or 15min walking distance from Small South Gate (alternative, take buggy for 10yuan). The signage for Hongyuyuan hotel was not obvious, it is easier to find using address. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The place is an ancient building, do not expect perfect heating during winter. Food and massage are nearby, is very convenient. The hotel have an restaurant, the food is not bad“

„Lovely atmosphere old chinese. Right in the centre of the old city. Beautiful place for breakfast, Chinese breakfast did not suit my wife but great coffee and orange juice, i think they own luckin coffee next door. Room was lovely but we are getting too old for a futton on the floor that was the only downside. I think some rooms had softer beds Hotel picked up from train and dropped off great service. Dont really speak english but they had translator on the phone so it was fine. Staff ...
