"The communication before arrival was very good, I received good advice and they organised a taxi pick at the airport - taxi ride was about 35mns for 35USD/ Euro. I arrived at night and everything looked very "ghetto-ish" the streets were dirty, collapsed buildings ... but the hotel door already looked reassuring and as soon as you step into the hotel - Wow! It's absolutely stunning. The very high ceilings, the dark wood, the quality of the furnishings (modern but authentic at the same time) and having breakfast on the rooftop terrace is a must. If you are very hungry, you will need to eat again afterwards but for most people it's enough and healthy too. Some fresh fruits, eggs (as you want them omelet, fried, scrambled etc...), a couple of toasts, freshly made juice, coffee or tea and a couple of very tasty - but very tiny (the size of a potato crip lol) - pancakes. The staff is super friendly, the only few issues I found is that although I was told that I could change money at the hotel, it wasn't possible. I also needed to have something printed, and there is no "office" onsite. I was also informed that I could get a SIM card nearby however when I asked where I should go, I was told there was nothing and I should have gotten one at the airport. Anyway, this didn’t spoil the stay and I would definitely go back. Location is perfect as 6mns walk to Placa Vieja, right by the port, plenty of sightseeing to be done."

"Luiz and his family are the perfect hosts. The furnishings and collections create a uniquely cosy atmosphere and give insights into Havana life through the early 20th century. The location near the Malecon means it is an easy walk to Havana Vieja. Meals were great, we had a wonderful time there."

"Optimal für Fahrradreisende aufgrund der Nähe zum Flughafen, trotzdem sehr ruhig da nur wenige Flieger landen. Wir dürfen unsere Fahrradtransportboxen bis zur Abreise deponieren. Mittlerweile gibt es auch ordentliches wlan. Der Garten ist wunderschön und lädt ein zum verweilen. Die Zimmer als auch die Betten sind überdurchschnittlich groß und sehr sauber. "
