An atmospheric 52-square-foot apartment is a former teacher's apartment that has been renovated with respect for the original spirit of the school.
The teacher's apartment is great for small families, among other things. There are 2+2 accommodations.
The apartment has its own toilet, the sauna and shower facilities are located on the ground floor of the school. You'll also have access to a yoga hall/dojo downstairs.
The space
Kitchen / dining area:
The basic kitchen has all the cooking utensils you need, as well as a dining table, refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, and cutlery for the whole crew.
Living room and bedroom
The living room has a flat-screen TV, a Playstation 3 as well as a big divan sofa that is comfortable to sit on to relax at the end of a hard vacation day. There is also a sofa in the living room that provides a double bed for 2.
The bedroom has a 160cm wide double bed and 90cm wide bunk beds.
Sauna and shower
The apartment has its own toilet; the shower facilities are located on the ground floor of the school, where you also have access to a large old-fashioned wood sauna “Ukonsauna”. The teacher's apartment has its own daily sauna shift, which can be scheduled separately. You can also book a traditional log sauna in the yard of the school if you'd like.
Yoga Hall /Dojo Space
As a special feature, the Wanhalla School has a popular yoga hall/ dojo in the basement with tatami floor. The hall is used by school residents from 6 am to 8 pm daily.
In addition,
the teacher's apartment has air conditioning, free WiFi, and plenty of parking spaces, including 1 spot for a block heater. (Not suitable for charging an electric car.)

A party or a larger group?
The apartment can also be combined with other apartments. That is, in total, we can accommodate 33 people indoors, but all apartments are separate from their own spaces! Ask for a quote!
Linen
You can bring your own sheets and towels or you can rent from us for 25€/set. Please ensure that sheets are used on the beds to avoid an additional cleaning fee.
The yard
area of Wanha School's yard has opportunities for a wide range of leisure activities, both adults and children.
In the winter, you'll have access to sleds and sliders, as well as some children's ski skis and boots.
Snowmobile trails are also easily accessible via Jouhilahdentie.
In the summer, you'll have access to a soccer field, a fairly sized fire pit, among other things. There is a dirt road 4km to mountain bike trails. There are bicycles for children, a climbing hut built into a tree, a slide, a sandbox, swings, and a cable car.
The location and surroundings
Wanha school is located on the side of Tahko's West Slopes, in a quiet location amidst the ridge landscapes shaped by the Ice Age. Tahkovuori ski resort is 6 km away, and the center of Tahkovuori is 14 km away.
For easy skiing from the
West Coat of Tahko, it's really convenient to go to the slope because it's always less crowded and the car can be parked right next to the ski lifts. You can also buy elevator tickets here. The famous Double Bar is also conveniently accessible by car from the West Lines side.
During the summer season, on the west side of Tahko, you'll find great hiking destinations, including the Mäkiaution Gorge and its landscaping, Rahasmäki leaning, and Huutavanholma. There is now a car road to the top of the panoramic restaurant in Tahko.
In the summer, Tahko offers a great setting for golfers, as well as a wide variety of activities, such as fishing, e-bike off-road, shooting, paintball, kayaking, berry picking and mushroom picking, and a spa. There are also stunning hiking terrain around the school with fridge ridge and soups.
Guest access
Own apartment, sauna, yoga hall and dojo Wanha school guests use daily from 6am to 8pm.
