Welcome to our quaint and cozy hideaway with wooded mountain views, located along the scenic Highway of Legends next to Cuchara Mountain Park. Our fully remodeled end unit offers more privacy, unobstructed views, and easier access. The condo is furnished with beautiful reclaimed wood accents repurposed from one of the original ranches in Stonewall, giving it an authentic rustic feel. Come make our home yours for the family’s next holiday!
The Space:
The living area has a large comfy couch and 2 smaller chairs plus a touch floor lamp with USB charging ports. There is a 50” Smart TV with streaming apps. During the winter months, you can make use of the wood-burning fireplace insert to efficiently heat the entire condo. If available, we try to offer a few logs to get you set up for the first night. Relax at our 2 person table on our back patio with views of Cuchara Mountain Park and forest. There is also a small propane grill available for use. You can also see the mountain bike park and sledding hill from the balcony. The side deck leading up to the front door offers solitude and privacy in the woods. Relax in our Adirondack chairs and enjoy some bird watching.
The kitchen is tiny, but mighty. It is very doable for a family of 4, but I would not recommend cooking a large holiday meal. There is a refrigerator/freezer, small oven/stove, sink, microwave, Keurig, french press, kettle, toaster, handheld mixer, pots/pans, food storage containers, cutting boards, utensils, plates, bowls, cups, casserole dishes. There is no dishwasher, but a drying mat, dish soap, and a sponge are provided under the sink. We offer k-cups, ground coffee, tea, sugar, creamer, and a few staple items like spices, oil/vinegar, flour, snacks, etc.
The dining table has seating for 3 people with a private view of the aspen trees and USB charging ports. There is also a small folding table and 2 chairs on the patio that can be moved inside if desired.
The master bedroom is very cozy with a king bed and comfortable bedding/pillows. Another 55” Smart TV with streaming. Two lamps with available USB charging ports and two small nightstands. There is also a convenient bench, chair, and shelf for storing your personal items. We have a cozy work space with a 27” monitor you can connect to your laptop via HDMI. The blackout curtains/shades make it easy to catch up on some much needed rest. You can see the top of the West Spanish Peak from the private bedroom patio with a small couch for two and a fold out table which is great for your laptop or sit back and enjoy a nice cup of coffee.
The smaller bedroom has a queen bed with a twin bunk on top. There is a USB port built into the light next to the queen bed. This is also where the laundry closet is located. We are one of the few units that offer a full size washer/dryer. You are welcome to use our laundry soap if needed.
The bathroom has a sink with hand soap, tissue, hair dryer and tub/shower combo with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, & towels.
You should have everything you need, but if supplies are missing or you are having technical difficulties, please let us know. We will do our best to fix the problem in a timely manner.
Guest access
PLEASE READ!
The condo is self check-in and equipped with a smart lock that gives you temporary property access by simply entering an access code on a keypad. Please check your messages prior to arrival for your personalized code. Your access code will only be active for the duration of your stay from the time of check-in at 3pm to checkout at 11am. If you require an early check-in, please let me know in advance and we will do everything possible to accommodate.
One parking spot is available for registered guests. If you have two vehicles, please park one behind the other to leave room for residents/guests of neighboring units. Trailers and campers must be parked in the designated parking area provided by the HOA next to condo.
**Panadero Ave and the parking area next to the condo is all dirt and can get pretty muddy after a good snow or rain. Huerfano County snow plows these areas, but can sometimes be delayed in extreme weather. Highway 12 is maintained and plowed regularly by the Colorado Department of Transportation. Be advised it could be difficult to get up the mountain from Highway 12 in bad weather so plan accordingly. We recommend a 4x4 or at least an all-wheel drive vehicle with good tires.**

THE FIFTH GUEST IS AN ADDITIONAL $10 PER NIGHT. WHEN RESERVING FOR 5 PEOPLE, PLEASE MAKE SURE TO SELECT 5 GUESTS.
Reclaimed Mood sleeps 4 adults comfortably with a very cozy king bed in the master and a queen bed in the smaller bedroom. It is possible to add a 5th person on the single bed, but be advised there is a max weight limit of 100 lbs for the top bunk.
You are allowed a maximum of 1 well trained dog with a $75 pet fee. For one pet, the fee will be charged at booking. You must not leave your pets alone in the condo without crating them and they are not allowed on the furniture or beds. Also, do not leave your pet outside on either patio unsupervised. If there are any accidents, please let me know so I can have the area sanitized properly to avoid hot spots. Please pick up after your pet outside. We have doggie bags available for use if needed.
There is a thermostat in the hall which operates the hallway and bathroom heaters. It defaults to 55 degrees between bookings, but you are welcome to set at a comfortable temperature when you arrive. There are additional wall heaters in the dining area and master bedroom if needed. Please turn them off when not in use and when you checkout. There is no A/C, but honestly we haven’t missed it. If you open both patio doors during summer, there is a cool breeze that flows through the unit which many people find pleasant. There are also ceiling fans and an additional fan in the master closet if needed.
Reclaimed Mood has the highest WIFI capacity available in the area. Service can potentially be unreliable in a rural mountain setting like ours. Normally there are few issues, but on occasion it could be down for a significant amount of time. Usually the good old “Turn it off and back on” will get things back on track. There will be no refunds or discounts for any down time.
There are only 2 restaurants and a coffee bar nearby, some of which are only open seasonally, so access to food will be an important part of your trip planning! Cuchara Mountain Mercantile next door has breakfast, lunch, and a small store with necessities. There are more restaurants and a grocery store in La Veta which is about 20 min from the condo. During the winter months, most restaurants and businesses close down. Also, be prepared for shorter hours at the places that are open. Check our guide for places we like best. We try to keep it updated as much as possible.
Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Holidays).
There is no smoking, drugs, or vaping of any sort on the entire property.
