Built initially as the Original Lakefront Estate in 1895, this historic house served as the Rec center for three decades of Camp Quimby girls' summer camp in the early 20th century. This one-of-a-kind lakefront rustic Adirondack has a million-dollar unobstructed view over Lake Winnipesaukee and the receding mountain ranges! Wake up each morning to the expansive views into Meredith Harbor, and enjoy breakfast overlooking Lake Winnipesaukee from the kitchen through a 12-foot sliding glass door/screen, or among several different seating options on the covered, wrap arond, deck. At night walk into Weirs, less than ten minutes walk, or stay home and roast marshmallows and smores at the original Camp's firepit. Enjoy family bonding over board games, ping-pong, water sports, and family barbeques, or watch a movie in the den. Feel free to relax with a book from our bookcase filled with several contemporary and vintage novels. Walk down to Weirs and enjoy several dining options, and enjoy drinks and cocktails, or drive just ten minutes to either Meredith or Gilford, which both offer great dining establishments, shopping, and entertainment options, including Meadowbrooks famous outdoor concert pavilion. Directly behind the property, you can find public walking trails through the woods. Five miles away, you can discover Gunstock Ski Mountain, which offers year-round outdoor adventures. During the Summer, you can enjoy breathtaking views by hiking or riding the chairlift to Gunstocks Summit. For the more adventurous, you can embark on Gunstock's Arial Treetop Adventure New England's largest Ropes course, as well as a mountain coaster, a scenic zipline tour, mountain biking, and the Bronco Off-Roadeo, a unique offroading experience. For a more romantic evening, walk down to the Weirs and enjoy a nighttime dinner dance cruise on the Mount Washington or a throwback Drive-In movie. Additionally, you can catch a daytime cruise on one of the last operating mailboats in the world, as it delivers mail to the islands on the lake.
The boat slip shown in the picture is available to rent for $425, per week.
