The Whaler at Kaanapali Beach is situated on the magnificent Kaanapali coast with beautiful beaches and beachfront walking path next to the upscale Whalers Village with high-end shopping, dining and the famous Hawaiian gem Black Rock. It is an oasis of tranquility over the many crowded resorts in the area. Kaanapali Beach is rated as one of the top beaches in the world with three miles of powder-white sand and crystalline water. It remains one of Hawaii’s most picturesque beaches with lots to do from snorkeling to jumping off Black Rock.

Enjoy a true Hawaiian vacation as you sit on your private lanai relax to the sounds of the surf and enjoy the beautiful ocean views. You can enjoy the beautiful sunsets from your private balcony on the 8th floor, simply lounge by the pool or take a stroll around the beautifully manicured grounds. Meander through a haven of tropical plants and enjoy the koi pond on this six acre resort.

On-site activity includes tennis courts and pickle ball courts. Start your day with a visit to the fully equipped fitness center, lounge by the beach front pool or relax in the hot tub. If you are a golf enthusiast, it’s a short drive to Kaanapali Golf Course which offers two 18-hole courses. The golf resort has panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and the West Maui mountains. If you need to relax and recharge, the Spa at the Whaler offers guests rituals that honor the Island’s natural splendor, immersing guests into a restorative, mindful place in which to relax, recharge and replenish their body, mind, and spirit. Treatment options range from therapeutic and restorative massages to skin care rituals with several enhancement alternatives.

The vibrant oceanfront Whalers Village is a short walk from the Whaler and offers shopping and dining along the promenade. You can stroll along Kaanapali Parkway or use the private entry directly from the resort to the Whalers Village. Here, you can find an array of dining alternatives ranging from grab-and-go options to sit down dining including Hula Grill and Leilani’s on the Beach. You can also find unique boutique stores to high end retailers including Louis Vuitton, Tommy Bahama, Pandora and many more.

Located on the 8th floor of Tower II this is truly a one of a kind vacation destination featuring a 905 sq. ft. 1-bedroom, 2-bathroom condo with breathtaking ocean views. It very comfortably accommodates 2 - 4 guests. This spacious unit has a private room with a King bed, 2 full baths with bathtubs and a spacious lanai overlooking the beautifully manicured courtyard and waterfall with views of the island Moloka’i. In your home away from home enjoy a fully equipped kitchen to prepare your favourite meals. Grocery stores are located just a few minutes drive from the resort and barbeques are available for your use at each tower bordering the beach. Washer and dryers are located on every floor next to the elevators for guest use.

The Whaler is a premiere condominium resort with full amenities that includes a business center and concierge service. The front desk is open 24/7 for your convenience and bell service is available daily at your request. It offers ample parking for registered guests only a short walk from the recently renovated entry and lobby.

You will be charged a $35 Per Day Resort Fee upon check-in. This includes use of facilities including the pool, gym, complimentary iced tea, tennis courts, and parking.

NOTE: The Condominium CCR's mandate a NO PET POLICY in this building. If you have a Service Animal and need to travel with your animal, you are encouraged to find accommodations elsewhere.

Good value for the money at best place on Kaanapali Beach!
The only place to stay on Kaanapali Beach is the Whaler. It’s our 8th time. This unit was the best value for the money for a one bedroom two bath. The unit is clean and inviting with a perfect view of the court yard and ocean and a piece of Black Rock. Although vintage Whaler decor without upgrades in many years, it is comfortable and relaxing. Unit comes with nice Tommy Bahama chairs and umbrella for the beach along with snorkeling equipment. Sitting on the Lanai in the morning sipping coffee can’t be beat. There are very nice grills in front of both towers, so make sure you use them. We highly recommend this unit as it was $100-$200 less a night vs similar 1 Br 2 bath.

Perfect stay for a week in Maui
We had a wonderful weeklong stay. The condo is well-situated on the beach, clean and filled with sunlight. It was roomy for our family of 5, and well-stocked with beach gear. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals. Lorraine was great at communicating right away when we had questions. We would definitely stay again!

Wonderful property
Perfect location right on the beach! Pool and towel service was very convenient and the Whaler staff was great. The chairs and coolers in the room were very helpful! If you plan to play tennis or pickleball they have rackets and balls at the desk but they do not allow black soled shoes on the courts. The beds were comfortable and the room was perfect for our family of 4. The only thing I wish we had were some disinfecting wipes for the counters and table. Wonderful property and perfect location!

We spent a week in unit 870. Enjoyed the view any time of day. The unit is very spacious and a great location. I was a bit disappointed with the property manager. The first day I emailed to inquire where the blow dryer was and she did not know she said she was meeting with the owner the next day and would ask. I kept looking and when I went to close the bathroom door later I found a pantry behind it and there was the blow dryer. Then a couple days later I had nothing to clean counters and I emailed again and she said it should be under the sink and I said it was not and her reply was"just make do with what you have." I would expect a property manager to know where something such as a blow dryer would be located and proper cleaning supplies probably fall on the cleaning crew. One other thing older people really need to be aware of is the threshold into the bathroom has probably close to an inch rise. It could be a problem for stubbing toes or tripping. We improvised and put a towel in a little rug over it. Very small issues and overall we had a fantastic stay here. We would recommend the unit.

Perfect!
Look no further. Book this place now! The condo was perfect. The staff at the complex were all incredible. The views were amazing. Free towel service whenever you needed it (even at 5am). The condo was perfectly stocked with the right amount tools to make breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Safeway was less than 10 mins away for your groceries. The king size bed was comfortable while my two kids slept on the roll out and the pull-out couch bed. Both of those mattresses were comfortable as well. The lanai was larger than I was expecting. I drank coffee and watched the waves roll in every morning while the kids slept. The condo also included the right amount of beach gear. It had pool noodles for floating around the ocean, snorkel gear, beach chairs, an umbrella, two coolers, and some beach bags for bringing your gear to the water. It was very close to black rock beach for some cliff diving and snorkeling. I almost stepped on a turtle! I spent many hours floating around while my kid jumped repeatedly off the cliff. I even did it a few times. I really can't think of anything bad. I would book again in a heartbeat. Lorraine was very attentive and got back to me very quickly with questions I had before booking. I don't think I needed her once we were there. We hope to be back soon!

Beautiful!
The property was beautiful and the condo was quite comfortable with everything we needed. The front desk staff was helpful. The view from the lanai is just as exquisite as the pictures suggest. When my family saw it for the first time, they audibly gasped. The beach is just steps away. You can see the cliff diver at sunset. Being able to enjoy mai tais at Monkeypod and then walk back in the glow of the sunset is heavenly. The air of the property is scented with plumeria. The torches lighting your way, the gentle murmur of the waterfall in the koi pond... It was magical. I would recommend this property to anyone. Lorraine was helpful at every turn. If we are ever fortunate enough to return to Maui, we would book again. Highly recommend.

Amazing condo in an excellent location. The actual condo was perfect for a family of four, well stocked with the added bonuses of a boogie board, snacks and other nice touches. The condo facilities were great, the beach was glorious and it was lovely to be able to walk to all the restaurants and cafes along the beach and in Whaler Village. The reservation process was easy and the hostess was extremely accommodating, changing my dates without penalty when our plans changed. Would definitely book here again!!

The view is amazing.
We very much enjoyed our stay. The communication was wonderful, the view of the ocean and the mountains are incredible making dining on the lanai a favorite thing to do, lanai furniture is wonderful. Beach chairs, umbrella, pool noodles, and coolers are a wondeful addition. Kitchen very well supplied, even scissors, which are missing most places. All fixtures/furniture is updated and the surfaces are clean. The original marble bathrooms (with updated cabinet doors) are as clean but the inside of the cabinet do smell their age - 1975. The marble is beautiful, age only makes it better. Original parquet flooring in entry and kitchen is in wonderful condition and very clean. I would stay again and would recommend to all. Home away from home if home was paradise.
This was our first time using a vacation rental and it exceeded our expectations. Traveling with our 3 kids under 10, my husband and I greatly appreciated the many amenities this property had to offer. The Whaler is on 1 of the best beaches on earth but the kids didn’t care and spent a lot of time in the wonderful pool. The unit is fully stocked with everything you can possibly need and even had pool/beach equipment for use which was a nice bonus. Check-in was easy and the unit was comfortable for our family of 5. The views of black rock and the west maui mountains from the expansive lanai are unmatched. Many amenities are close by, whaler’s village shopping center is steps away and had restaurants, a food court, and abc store for food and any other needs you might have. Will definitely stay here again if available on our next Maui trip. Don’t hesitate to book this property, use a foreign exchange fee free credit card to book if you’re worried about fees. The host was welcoming and responsive! Thank you for the memories.
