Charming Renovated Cabin with a Cottage vibe. Thus "The Cabbage"

This 2 bedroom 1 bath offers a peaceful retreat from the hurried life. The cabin is located across the street from Gray Lake , with lake views. A small public beach access is down the road. The Cabbage is Near Pere Marquette paved Rails to Trails, Lakeside Bar and Grill , and a historic General Store. There is also a coffee shop open in the summer season. The yard has a rustic firepit. There are 2 kayaks. There are two T.V.s - one in the twin room and one in the living room. There is Wi-FI. Rocko Tv and a DVD player with numerous videos. There are also games and cards for that rainy Day. Of which you'll love the sound of the rain on the metal roof. This Cabin was just renovated and June 1 2022 is its first debut. Bath towels and Bed Linens provided. For cooking there is a Microwave, hot plate, and a toaster oven. A grill , Keurig coffee pot also.

Great Spot

Beautiful cabin. Stunning, cozy aesthetic. Clean. Basics are provided in terms of dishes, silverware, toiletries, which is much appreciated. Fireplace sets a lovely vibe. Comfy bed. Nice location, in the sense it's quiet and private. Property owner did a good job answering my questions. Wonderful place resulting in a fantastic stay.

Perfect quiet getaway
We came up for a quiet retreat after a busy work season, and The Cabbage was perfect! We were able to sit by the fire, play games, do a puzzle, and read. We had a great time, and we had everything we needed for a long weekend.

The Cabbage was so cute!!! We enjoyed our stay. The only things that could have made it better was a washer/dryer (I understand the space limitations) and a blind on the back door. Jeri Jo was a wonderful hostess!

Great secluded get away
Stayed at several before and have been on the hosting side of rentals. This was done eloquently. Lots of what we needed visiting from out of town by airplane. Very clean. Very quaint and well done. All the details were considered. Thanks for the chance to use your property to get away!

Charming and relaxing home!
Sweet little stay that was cozy and had everything that I needed! Perfect for a couple of a solo retreat or a small family! If you do have a small family, know that the fridge is small and I had a bit of trouble determining the right house, but the host was SUPER fast at responding so it wasn't an issue. The host was amazing and while the house had an issue or two with cleaning staff she was very responsive to feedback.

Cabbage getaway
Nice. Peaceful location. Perfect for a short getaway. I’m 3 days got in some fishing in Crooked Lake, biked 15 miles on the Pere Marquette Trail, and went canoeing on the Muskegon River. Kids enjoyed the new activities, and loved the cozy feel of the cabin. Enjoyed hot dogs and smoresover the fire. Would recommend to anyone for a quiet retreat. Thank you.

Very Cozy - Exactly as Pictured
We loved our stay at the Cabbage. The property was exactly as described and had everything we needed for our weekend away. We only wished that we could have stayed longer! Highly recommend!

Very disappointing stay.
Were supposed to stay for 4 days. Left after 2 because of dried blood on the bottom sheet of queen bed necessitating us having to sleep on top of bed to avoid contamination with biohazard material. Unsure if sheets had been changed after last guests. After finding the blood on the sheet we tried the twin beds. Mattress was too soft & uncomfortable. We left for home because it seemed stupid to stay & be miserable for 2 more days. We should have asked for refund. We also noticed urine stains ( or other body fluid) on mattress pad when we removed the sheets before leaving as instructed. Would recommend if you stay here to check the bedding before unpacking. Would also recommend you bring your own lawn chairs. There was a picnic table outside to sit on but the lawn chairs ( found in the garage) were filthy; most were broken or webbing was so badly frayed we were afraid they would not support us if we sat on them. This is the 8th VRBO rental we have stayed at. We would return to all of them except for this one. Completely ruined our getaway.

Relaxing, charming cabin on a small private lake
The Cabbage is a cozy, charming updated cabin near a small, private lake. Situated in a wooded area, the property is large and includes a garage with kayaks. Beds are comfy and lots of small amenities included. One close neighbor but they were not on site while we were there. Lots of things to do in the small area towns. We would love to visit again and stay in The Cabbage.

My family had a wonderful stay here. The house had the basics we needed, but had a great camping feel. The property was great, with a grill and a firepit. The lake also had great fishing!
