As soon as you enter the living area, you are drawn towards the beautiful and calm Lake, and you may want to run to the boat house ASAP and sit on the swings and just admire the view and the wildlife: you may see a turtle here and there sticking out her neck for a few seconds and then dive back into the water. The waterfront backyard has 2 magnificent trees that give shade to the entire property. A firepit is close to the dock.
We accept pets, "dogs only", up to 2 maximum, any size, but well behaved: we only charge for a cleaning fee $150 per pet, per stay. Guests need to disclose the number of pets, so we can prepare the home accordingly, and confirm the charges.
The house is fully furnished with 3 bedrooms/3 baths + 2 sofa beds (2 singles) in the living room and can accommodate up to 16 guests (the bunkbed bedroom alone can accommodate up to 8 guests with a private bathroom with 2 sinks). The master bedroom has a queen size bed for 2 guests with is private bathroom with 2 sinks, and the other guest bedroom has 2 queen size beds, for 4 guests, with the guest bathroom just outside the door in the hallway.
The property is completely fenced in for security and privacy. The great room consist of a living room with a huge fireplace next to a large Smart TV. Enjoy the view of the lake as well, or just watch TV seating on white couches overlooking the blue waters.
The kitchen is well equipped with top-of-the-line stainless steel appliances and the kitchen island has 4 bar stools. 2 dining tables + 4 bar stools on kitchen counter can accommodate all guests. All living areas open to the screened porch overlooking the calm waters, and the hot tub is located right in front of the master bedroom pocket doors entrance. Both living room and master bedroom have pocket doors that open to the screened porch with cozy lounge area, and a small dining table.
Sunsets are just incredible and full moon is spectacular if you are there at that time.
The boat (pontoon) lift is not available, but you can still dock your boat or jet ski on the side of the boat house where we have pilings. You may also rent a pontoon from the company " Lake June Pontoons" for a fabulous ride through the canals that connect to the other lakes. A boat ramp is just 3 minutes away across the lake.
There are golf courses as well if you don't want to spend all day in watersports' activities, like canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding, jet skiing, fishing, tubing or just swimming or just sunbathing.
The town of Lake Placid has two nicknames: "Town of Murals" and "The Caladium Capital of the World" and is part of the Sebring Metropolitan Area, with the biggest attraction being the worldwide famous Sebring International Raceway that Helps Drive the Local Economy. This region is full of lakes and this property is located on Lake Carrie that connects to lake Henry and huge lake June.
Look at the maps and you will understand that the town of Lake Placid/Sebring are in the center of Florida with hundreds of lakes; so, we are close to both coasts (2-hour drive) whether you want to go to Tampa on the Gulf of Mexico or West Palm Beach to the Atlantic Coast; Disney World in Orlando is 90 minutes away North. Great towns also include Gainesville and St Augustine.
