Matterhorn is part of the exclusive PEAK group of homes at Sierra Shores. Each PEAK home has been thoughtfully designed by its owners with meticulous attention to detail to ensure that every stay is as comfortable, luxurious, and relaxing as it possibly can be. This home is air-conditioned!

You’ll be swept off your feet by the wall of windows to the water in the great room. Family memories will be made gathered around the fireplace and relaxing together after a day on the water or the mountain.

The location doesn’t get better. You’ll be steps from the lake, within walking distance from some of our favorite local shops & restaurants, and less than two miles from Heavenly Village and Stateline.

You’ll be well-prepared to cook great meals from home in this state-of-the-art kitchen with quality cookware and Viking appliances. On the patio you'll find a well maintained DCS grill and outdoor furniture to enjoy wine, dinner, and incredible sunsets from.

All bedrooms have Frette Linens & designer touches. The master bathroom boasts a jacuzzi tub & steam shower.

Within Sierra Shores’ beautifully landscaped gated property you can experience the hot-tub, heated pool ( open during the summer months) , and fitness center. Outside your door is an expansive lakefront lawn area, perfect for everything from sunbathing to frisbee, with direct access to Lake Tahoe & a beach when water level permits.

It’s important to note that a vacation rental experience isn’t just about the home itself, it's also about customer service & amenities. Amazing Property!!
This condo exceeded our expectations! The view is out of this world of stunning Lake Tahoe. The access to the lake steps away from the patio was incredible. Our kids enjoyed jumping in the lake everyday! We cooked dinner in every night in the state of the art kitchen and ate outside to enjoy the beautiful view. The pool was a huge bonus and my kids loved it! The location was prime to everything in South Lake Tahoe and a short drive to Emerald Bay in the other direction. We loved everything about this condo except that we had to leave! Wish we booked for longer! We will absolutely return for winter to ski or again for summer!

This was an amazing rental. Everything we needed except for groceries which is obvious. We felt like we were at home and not a hotel room. Our view every morning was breathtaking. We would definitely spend the extra money to stay here again.

Pros Magnificent view, well stocked kitchen, clean property, nice grassy area in the backyard which is great for kids to play, and convenient access to pool/lake Cons There is nearly zero sound proofing. There are a couple of other mention of noisy upstairs neighbors and this is indeed very true. We enquired beforehand and the rental company mentioned the upstairs unit is a short term rental too so we thought maybe the other reviewers just got bad neighbors but no, you hear EVERY single footstep. This becomes especially problematic when your upstairs neighbor decides 3 AM is a good time to pack and head out. Our entire family of 2 adults and 2 small children were basically up all night. Keep in mind we also use white noise for sleep which didn’t help at all. The check in process was easy although finding the location was difficult at night (9PM) because none of the navigation systems show where it is correctly. We tried calling the support number and no one picked up. I wonder what would’ve happened if we had a true emergency during the check in process? I guess during the day it’s not a problem as it’s right at a traffic light with a sign. The beach this property is in front of smells horrible. There is also a warning sign at the gate that states there is harmful algae present in the water, so naturally we could not use it. This was a huge disappointment for us. Overall, despite the magnificent view and lush green backyard, I am not sure I’d come back to this location.

The property was better than advertised. We especially appreciated all the coffee, plastic garbage sacks and endless condiments we did not have to buy...also the bottle of wine. We will be back next year if we go to Lake Lake Tahoe.

Winter wonderland
We absolutely loved this property. It is even better than the pictures. All appliances are top of the line Viking, the fireplace is perfect, the backyard with the barbecue area made for picture perfect moments for our family. The best thing is the view, even though we ended up being in a snowstorm, nothing beats the the beauty of the snow falling against the lake background. Everything was just perfect.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here with our 2 year old and 4 month old. The best part was that our kid could play right outside. The condo itself is very nice - clean, new and luxurious amenities. The views are incredible. Highly recommend.

Beautiful property in a perfect location.
This property is the perfect size for 4 adults and 2 children. It is beautifully appointed and has everything needed to enjoy yourself. The location was perfect for my needs with the walking path at the entrance, private beach and being near Safeway and Whole Foods. There were a couple minor issues: the living room tv is advertised as being a Smart TV with streaming but I was not able to access any of the streaming services. It seemed as if another remote was needed for that purpose and it was nowhere to be found. There were also supposed to be instructions for the tv but there were none. The lighted mirror in the master bath did not function and I was unable to activate the heated floors. The TV only became and issue when my family came to visit one evening. I have since touched base with management on this and am awaiting enlightenment as to whether I misunderstood. (I will bring my FireStick next time I rent this unit.) The community is gated and the grounds are well maintained. Unfortunately, due to COVID, the pool, spa and gym were unavailable. Parking is very convenient and it's nice to have a garage for one vehicle. I love this place and hope to return in September!

Great place with 2 needed improvements
Parking is a bit tough. Wish they had a 30 min loading or unloading zone as they said cars would be fined or towed if a second car was parked inside. Pretty hard to unload a car from across the street. Loud noise coming from master bathroom. I believe it was the heater in the outside closet cycling all night. It needs to be fixed. Very loud in master bedroom. Otherwise every was great. Beautiful setting and great location. We would stay there again.
