This farm house is less than 10 minutes from town, and 15 minutes from the lake. There's a pretty cool backstory with pictures posted on the living room wall. The owners are absolutely amazing, and helpful throughout our stay. They opened the main barn, so my 3 y/o grandson could look at the tractors (made grandpa happy). The house itself had really good A/C and water pressure, with plenty of seating for everyone. The stairs leading to the upper bedroom are a little steep, but my kids didn't mind. The 3200 acre farm has plenty of small fishing ponds, one of which was assigned to his house, but the owner offered up additional fishing ponds, which was a nice gesture on her part. We caught plenty of small crappie, bass, bluegill, and catfish. The main issue I had was the mattress in the main/lower bedroom. I have back issues already, so I assume that contributed to my discomfort, but it wasn't very comfortable for me. I plan on staying here again (hopefully with a new mattress) when I come back to visit family, and would recommend to friends/family. We had everything we needed in the house, and having the washer/dryer on site was a help with our large family for 6 days. Lastly, and the owner doesn't control this, was the cellular signal. We have Verizon, and hardly ever had a signal...we'd do the "walk around to find a signal" thing, but usually just gave up until we went into town. Thanks again to this amazing owner, and look forward to coming back in future years.
